Knowing what we know about the offense now. Would you hate a 2 QB System?

i don’t really think JD has a passing rhythm, besides when he’s in a 2 minute or HUNH situation. I know Nuss has a cannon for an arm and is a gun slinger, his accuracy and decision making on throws is sometimes questionable, BUT he actually throws the ball. I’m not a huge fan of 2 QB systems unless it’s necessary, and it almost seems like it’s to that point for our offense to succeed…

what’s the rants thoughts?

You better hope JD improves and starts pulling the trigger and throwing these receivers open. He gives us the best chance to win. Receivers need to get more separation and stop dropping balls.

yes I would very much hate a 2QB system

that being said, if jayden isnt doing it after 1Q, i'm fine w/ putting nuss in and seeing what happens

if jayden cant complete passes this week we will get our arse kicked anyway so might as well give nuss the exp and see if he can get some big deep throws to keep us in the game

trust me, I do hope he starts slinging it around more and receivers actually make some plays. I have been a JD supporter from day 1 and i just want to see him get better, hoping Saturday is a turning point

I would not have a problem with having both qb's getting series in first half and then sticking with the one playing the best. I thought we would see that this year bc most BK teams have done that in the past...well at ND at least.

Yes. Too predictable. We running the ball JD is in, and if Nuss is in were passing.

I think CBKs message this week through his pressers was enough to know that if JD doesn’t start slinging it that he’s gonna get pulled soon, sounded like a warning to me.

that’s not true… Nuss can hand off with the best of them, and JD can throw the ball a little bit at least

Based on what ive seen from Nuss, im not sure hes an improvment over JD but JD isnt setting the world on fire either. Not ready to pull JD from the starting role because i think he does some good things but id like to see Nuss get 2 drives per half if JD doesnt start throwing the ball. We wont continue to win on qb running alone.

If the offense sputters for a few series I think he will play Nuss this week.

No. These SEC games are going to be tight, a turnover or pick six by Nussmeier could be the difference between a win and a loss.

Yup was thinking the same. Although I’d he goes out and forces throws, that could be a disaster for his confidence.

I think Jimbo Fisher benched is running QB after forcing the passing game, and his 2 QB system is a failure. Oh, and 8&4's second string QB beat out LSU's second string QB, so there's that.

I'll take LSU's 1QB system, it's running game, and it's 2-0 SEC record over what Jimbo is trying to do.

No I would not hate it at all, its unusual but it would be a good way to get both game experience and give each a chance to shine under the brightest lights. Let the fire of the forge determine the strongest steel.

Good original post and good thought, despite the naysayers.

JD gives us the best chance to win. Nuss doesn’t have it. We won’t win big with Nuss. I thought going into the year differently.

If we had no shot at going to a big bowl game and Kelly wanted to take his lumps then playing Walker would be an option.

I’m just hoping something clicks with JD along with receivers being more reliable.

F that. Jd needs to realize he can trust his receivers and chunk the ball. If any of our guys are one on one he needs to toss it up most times our receivers can make a play
