I hope her opening line at her intro press conference is “Don’t let me get hot.”

There’s nothing “crunk” about women’s basketball. The product is on par with junior high boys

Couple things here.

1) That picture of Kramer will always make me say "I wrote you Slim but you still ain't callin'".

2) Why would she be leaving Baylor? Is there some sort of rift there or reason for her to leave to come here?

Mid 2000's WBB & MBB were some of my favorite memories.

Gymnastics at LSU averages 11,000 fans per meet. I could see LSU becoming a national power with big crowds in that sport as well

Does Baylor have mountains of cash that LSU doesn’t? Bears fans acting like it’s laughable and absurd that LSU could pay half of what they are for Mulkey.

do they sell beer at basketball games now? If they put out an elite winning product, I could go kick back with a cold one & watch some junior high level basketball

Yes. Oil money and a private university with a big endowment.

We can still afford her salary easily. We have more than that in football surplus earnings every year.

They also spend more on academics than sports.

I agree with one of the posters there. Can we afford to bump up her salary? Probably. Will we? Hmm, I just don't know.

I'll believe this when I see it.

Is oil money and endowment used for athletics?

As far as athletic revenue, LSU is always top 10.

In a word...yes. Big money Baptists. Mulkey would have to recieve a far more significant offer from LSU than her present Baylor salary, purely for economic reasons. Mulkey would lose money due to the tax differences between the States, and she probably recieves a sweetheart deal on assessed properties as well.

Depends on the school. Some, but not all of them (see Harvard vs. Michigan or A&M).

It's all moot. We can easily afford that salary.

We can afford to, but probably won't have to much. The allure of coming home is a very strong one. She's talked about it openly a bunch how much she loves Louisiana and how her family is here.

I also think we're going to give her some other incentives, like a badass house, promise of new facilities, etc. that sweeten it.

I'm still not sure she comes.
