They seem to have an extremely low opinion of Johnny Jones.

And we're down 2 players.

That's what is truly scary about this team, and UK also needs to understand we have not had depth like this for a long while.

That's what I saw. They have a lot of talent and that will overcome the lack of coaching. It looks like they play street ball. Reminded me of an "And 1" show.

This one is my favorite

Simmons and Blakeney can play. They seem a bit weak upfront besides Simmons and Blakeney might shoot them out of games this year.

UK scared of LSU in basketball? That's comical. LSU has 1 guy who would be starting for UK. That being said, I think LSU will have a great season.

This is the first true year of a full CJJ team IMO. He has had his 3 years to fill the bench and it shows.

They are underestimating this team/coach.

I watched them and I was not at all impressed with UK. They will get beat by Duke tonight

I am a huge LSU fans in everything except men's basketball, where I am a huge Kentucky fan. (UK is my alma mater.)

I have got to say it: this UK basketball fan is VERY concerned about LSU this season. The Tigers have looked very good thus far, and Simmons is a beast. Any UK fans who think that Kentucky will walk over LSU are fooling themselves.

No one is scared with the #1 OOC schedule in country etc, however, LSU is built well. I like the team. Simmons and Blackeney (sp) are tough, and would be nice additions for anyone.

I guess people bring us up "random" talking basketball like others bring up LSU in football. Only reason I figure we are even remotely a discussion about your team.

Look forward to the game. When you have a good team, I guess it's nice to beat the big dogs for your own ego/pride as a fan, but it's all about getting ready for March. Which is why we play - Kansas, Duke, Ohio State, UCLA, Louisville, and Arizona State.

Good Luck

They can say what they want about Johnny's in-game coaching abilitites, but Calipari has taken the most talented team to the dance at least 5 times in his career and has one title to show for it.

The fact that he didn't use 3/4 court or full court pressure last season with a roster 12 deep with NBA players tells you all you need to know. He should have blown us out every time he played us the last two seasons, but they lost one and had two tight wins due to his arrogance or ineptitude. He's possibly the greatest recruiter in the history of the game, but the pedestal he is on as a game day coach is ridiculous.

I don't think any LSU fan would be ridiculous enough to try and compare the two programs. What Kentucky has accomplished as a basketball program stands on it's own.

But the original topic at hand, Kentucky basketball fans criticizing other coaches in-game coaching abilities, is short-sighted at best.

If thaty's not the pot calling the kettle black.

What do they think Calpari's teams have been like at UK? It's street ball every year and UK has by far and away the most talent of any team in the country each and every year and he's won 1 title in 6 years. Really nice choke job last season too with easily the best/deepest team in the country.
