Dude , this used to be a helluva heated rivalry andnhas potential to get back to that. When I was at LSU in the 90s , the A&M game was as intense and venomous as the Bama game is now.
Louisiana vs Texas has always facilitated a natural rivalry through geography, not to mention the cultural differences.
The intensity will return eventually, but of course that mean A&M gotta win a few here and there....hahahahhaha...okay, so never-mind!

Texas A&M is on their knees begging LSU to be their rival otherwise their move from the Big 12 is a failure. The little brother Aggies need LSU. LSU does not need A&M.
