Looks like the only thing we can agree on in this thread: TIGERLEE's an idiot.
Beckwith looked good last night though. Hope to see him on the field predominately vs auburn.
What was the snap count last night for all the LB'ers?

I honestly believe Beckwith will be the starting MLB soon. I believe the lb haul we had recruiting pushed him to DE because of LSU need.
During the first two games it became apparent that there was still a need for him at LB more than DE as we are solid at that position.
Barrow needs to move outside since it is a better fit. Last year we had OL playing out of position. And this year they are playing where they should because no shuffle is needed and just look how much better our OL is this year.
Put'em where they belong.
That said DE will likely be where KB sees playing time on 3rd and long.

Yea I agree 100%. Beckwith is a freak.
Sure, Welter can make the calls, but he cant make the plays. I guarantee every call Welter makes, Barrow can make it too.

Well for starters Collins doesn't receive a fraction of the hate on this board that welter does.

I said it last week I'll say it again... None of these lbs outside 18 are head ans shoulders above the others... Welter is gonna get carried away by gurly but a 218 lb Kakexander isn't? Ok.

The problems on defense are a lot of miscommunication. I'd have to guess that having a middle linebacker who knows the calls would prevent this from happening on a consistent basis.
Yet, with Welter in charge it continues to happen a lot, especially with LBers out of position a ton.
Beckwith has the talent but will need time to feel out the position and learn the calls, but Welter is clearly an issue spot on this defense whether people want to accept it or not.

That's silly. He's got to know his assignments so well he doesn't have to think - just react. The good news is that Chavis knows this, and he's used the cupcake early schedule to rush Beckwith through his learning curve. Apparently he's getting there. We need him against the power teams, but they'll carve him up if he doesn't get his coverages right. Welter is weak in traffic, but he is very effective in coverage.

Welter is a major fall off from Minter last year. DJ should be on special teams and thats about it!

outside backers aren't always in a position to make pre-snap reads and line adjustments...
