there is no reason LSU should have lost to GA.

the coaches need to keep it simple. if they (coaches) feel like the offense (quaterback play is inexperinced) then they need to play to their advatanges. LSU has a dominate offensive line and a back that is top five in the country (charles scott). they need to run the ball and control the game more. this will allow the quarterback (j. lee) opportunities to throw in to one on one coverages and keep his progressional reads to a minimum. LSU has the depth and the athletes to create mismatches. also, they have two experinced receivers in Lafell and Bryd. these guys can make plays and get open.
if LSU ran 60 plays a game, i would like to see them run it 45 times. they have the backs to do this also with murphy and williams. throw the ball in throwing situations and play-action passes will keep the other team honest.
LSU should have kept hitting GA in the mouth and kept the ball by running it.

this will also allow LSU's (so called inexperinced defense) to stay off the field. this defense and it's DC's need to get it together though. there really is no such thing as an inexperinced defensive player 8 weeks into the season. the coaches need to own up to that fact and that the defense is playing poorly and if the players keep making mistakes, get them off the field.

LSU is still a very solid football team that can score points. the coaching staff needs to use the advantages of the offense to help what they feel might be hurting the team.

LSU has three homes games and big ones against Bama and Ole Miss. they might not be pretty wins or high scoring, but they keep running the rock hitting teams in the face and they could be looking at a successful 10-2 season. i know 92,000 tiger fans don't mind hitting other SEC schools in the jaw for a controling W.

Good Luck to the Tigers!

Right. Being one dimensional is definitely the way to go.

LSU lost because they have a freshman QB. We will not have a great team again for 2 years until Lee becomes a Junior. The UG struggled the last 2 years with their QB and now he is a Junior. He was making the same mistakes Lee has made.

That's what Florida State fans said about Rix.

lee needs to learn how to go through a progression on pass plays, otherwise when we do pass, we have only 1 or 2 receivers in routes. not good, imo.

8-9 men in the box is hard to run against no matter what talent you have. defenses will stack the box, we wont be able to convert 3rd and long, and we will end up with more 3-and-outs which is not good for our d.

i think you are right about making things more simple, but i think that needs to be applied to the defense more.

keep in mind that you have check down backs (tailback) and the fact that your tightend will also be envolved in the play-action passing. and one on one match ups with your receivers is the best thing you could ask for.
if you think about, you have 4 guys covering 3 receivers. the progression stays simple reading safties and throwing over linebackers.

also, LSU did not lose because they have a freshman quaterback. they lost because they exposed him. they need to help and protect him with that veteran line and the depth at tailback. let him throw in comfortable situations and in favorable coverages.

don't let him throw into zone reads and expext him to hold the offense on his shoulders. he will get there. GA's stafford is a good example of what lee can develop into. it just takes time.

Agree 100%. Openning pass play was a huge mistake and I bet the coaches know that now.

You could not be more wrong. I'll give you 2 reasons: Stafford and Moreno. We did an OK job containing Moreno except for 2-3 plays, but Stafford was on fire and there is no stopping him then. We had a chance against UGA that night if we didn't have so many turnovers, but they were the better team because they didn't make mistakes

i dont know if that was directed at me or someone else. i think discipline is a problem the whole team is having.

that is a progression. youre right that it is a more simple one, but it is still a progression. run, run, screen is not the way to get a QB from Stafford as a Freshman to the Stafford we saw last saturday.

playing to win is what miles is all about. since that tennessee Katrina game, he doesnt like to play not to lose.

it might be a sink or swim situation. RSF QBs can be sucessful, but you dont know that til you throw them out there and see what they can do.

if you cant get lee to make good decisions throwing the ball downfield, we cant be sucessful. so try it. he throws 3 picks we lose. he doesnt throw the ball downfield, we lose.

So when Florida was stopping us for no gain on 1st and 2nd down with 8 men in the box on rushing attempts, you think we should have continued to do that? Or just do another running play on 3rd and 10?

We could'nt run on UF, we will have to pass to beat Bama.I'd like to see more 3 step and throw quick. Run more out of the shotgun and spread. But if we don't start playing D it's a mute point anyway.

there are plenty of reasons...
-you have a freshman qb that is still learning the ropes
-your defense is shite and cant stop anything
-we have knowshon moreno and matt stafford
-you guys got exposed at UF
-you're really just not as good as UGA this year (dont pull any national title bs, im just saying this year)
-coaching and scheming issues up the arse
enough?
