Wow, you stopped their bragging with bigotry. How creative.

This was my first trip and pretty much agree with the other comments. We hung out near the libraries on University Ave and I swear there were as many LSU fans as Florida fans. We seemed to be more excited and definately louder. Tailgaiting was decent but nothing compared to game day at LSU. Then you go into the stadium. It's like night and day. Our seats were three rows behind the Tiger sideline. When you're in the Swamp, you know you're in the Swamp. It was extremely loud and most of the game couldn't hear either band. The seats are literally 10 feet from the field. You're right on top of the action.
I get into the pagentry of college football. Nothing like it, imo. Florida has some pretty cool things they do during the game. Most impressive was at the beginning of the fourth quarter every fan grabbed their neighbor and swung side to side while singing the alma mater. It was impressive because they all did it at the same time.
I would definately do this again. With the exception of the score, we had a real good time.

I wish I could say our treatment was as good as you guys. We are all alum upper 20's and we got the hell. Surprisingly going out the night before the game was great and we met some pretty cool UF fans. But afterr that it just got nasty. If you were sitting in one place at a tailgate everything was fine. But, of course we wanted to walk campus and experience the place. They simply couldn't understand that we were there for a football game not a MMA fight. They didn't trash talk.... They got personal and vulgar. When confronted after telling my girlfriend to come over and they'd "take care of your boyfriend" and when she looked back and LOL and made a comment about his wifebeater he then continued to call me a queer( the irony) and demand I come back, everytime, every damn time they would talk, say they were wrong, apologize etc... I sincerely hope no one here brings the trashtalking to a personal level at TS. I felt like I was on the strip in Lafayette rather than a SEC campus. Bottomline when you act like a juiced up senseless classles D-bag and get confronted by a 5'10" 180lb man boldly yet calmly and you begin to backpaddle in your words and then when my group gets 30 feet away you begin to jaw again.... Well you get the point although it only happened about 3 times from noon to 8pm it was enough to leave a sour taste in my mouth. But, not all their fans were like this for the record. Met some great ones. One Cool cop let LSU fans carrying beers at the gate of the stadium drop their beers and didn't write a ticket or act like a prick. Another ran across the street andjumped into some LSU fans face and barked down at them that their "TigerBait" chant was harrasment ????

I hate when people use that as an excuse. It's FLORIDA. I seriously doubt they went into the game thinking they were playing ULL or something. They wanted it just as badly, but Florida got some big breaks that totally swung the momentum their way.

Yha, these are all close to my experience. We spent alot of time in their Union, it was actually very nice. Then walked around a bit, We only got chomped once all day. Now ehn you get in the stadium the fans grow balls and talk alot of crap. Didnt really get heckled after either.

Now, I will say this; their management of the game was bad. They came into the LSU student section right after kickoff telling people to stop standing on the bleachers. It did not bode well and caused alot of uneeded violence. They werre pushing people around and allowed the fans above to continue throwing things from above with little resisyance. Also the Police and the staff on the sidelines should not be Chomping the student section. I have never seen this anywhere else nor at Tiger Stadium.

I will disagree, they did want it more. They seemed much more well prepared and they knew it was a must win. This team needed the reality check to realize that success need be earned. This team doesnt have the that same hard nosed style as teams of the past they are too non chalant.

I'l agree with their coaches obviously wanted it more. They had a MUCH better gameplan and executed it. Our players walking out at half with their hands in the dirt upset me and the D- PLAYERS NOT trying to disguise their frustration at not getting the plays in also disgusted me. This can only hurt recruiting. Players cannot lose respect for the coaches.

I don't think even Gator fans believed what they were seeing. They have talent, but last night was an anomaly.

pipe in music sucked, felt like a pro game.

They've been doing the "piped-in-music" crap for 2 years now. I hope they stop it after this year because it takes away from the college experience. I was at the UF-dUmp game in '03 in Miami at the Orange Bowl and they did the same thing there.
I can't tell the difference between the two now.
I'm only guessing here, but I think the coaches are betting that the recruits are impressed with that crap being blasted over the speakers. Piped-in-music gets a big thumbs down from me...

I sat next to the 2 biggest douchebags in the stadium. I'm sending a letter to Florida asking them to spare all visiting fans from having to sit next to these fricking idiots from now till the end of time. Seriously, these counts don't even deserve to breathe the same air that I do.

You may have seen the McCain-Palin signs in town for the game, but this town is full of bedwetting libbies like the town of Chapel Hill, NC. I argue with these clowns everyday. There are alot of people here who hate conservatives/republicans.
The town is so liberal, we even have a law that sez transgendered can use the bathroom of their choice.
Lots of socialists and commies in town also.

This was the point when frustration took over. They converted a long 3rd down, and we were mentally out of the game from this point on.
