The stretch from the interstate to the ghetto gas station at the corner of west chimes looks like a 3rd world country

I see the road is finally being fixed but are there any plans to fix that area up? What an absolute eye sore and embarrassment

I won't even stop at that gas station. As soon as your card goes in, a beggar steps out of the shadows with a "Bless you!"

Well i work with many out of state employees and they do see that area of town! Then send kids to oxford or fayetteville. Needs to be fixed somehow!

Why don’t you buy some property and develop it.

It’s not, but all SEC schools with property that close to campus has long been gentrified. What are we waiting on?

You came down Highland Rd from downtown? That's the only rundown area as you near the campus. Nicholson Dr north toward downtown is slowly being rennovated and the 4 North, east, and south entrances are just fine.

I have been around and in BR since 1960 and the areas around the campus look better than they ever have.

I always take that route as well, and I don’t quite know why. The Dalrymple route is a much more pleasant way to access campus.

The areas around campus on all sides are dumps. You're just acclimated to it.

It was just cheaper to buy up undeveloped land along Burbank and Nicholson than to redevelop the area you're talking about.
