There was nothing for him to go to Arkansas, and Michigan both times for that matter, to. He called bluff 3 times and we blinked each time!!

Oh my. Are you serious or trolling? I hope the latter because if you're serious, then

Rantard post of the day.
On the national level, people thought we were nuts when we shite-canned John freaking Brady. Imagine the perception if we got rid of Miles. The line to gobble him up would be around the block.

True man, but he is human at the end of the day. You'd feel sh*tty too if someone came down on you. I certainly would. I like it when athletes mention the "boo's" etc. in interviews - it shows that they do in fact tune in to what fans are saying to a certain extent.

LOL.....there are a very small number of schools that wouldn't hire Les tomorrow to bring the same success to them that he has to LSU....a very small number maybe single digits.
Do you think he would have had the same "success" he's had at LSU anywhere else?
Personally, I doubt he would have.

Do you think Saban could go anywhere and do what he's done? That goes both ways.

Miles would get another high profile job the day he left LSU if he wanted. Saban may be the best HC in college football but I can think of very few I would be happy replacing Miles with.

Then here's a hypothetical scenario for you box...if both coaches left their respective schools and went to, what everyone would generally consider to be an elite program (USC, ND, OSU, etc.), who would fare better? Your thoughts?
Posted on 10/24/13 at 2:59 pm to RedTigerRulz
Are they both going to the same division? I think either one would be successful at any the big programs, but that's not my point.
My point is Saban has enjoyed continued success because he coached at two of the best schools for football. Les is enjoying some of that same success here.
Both schools benefit from having them coach just as much as they benefit from the basically unlimited resources and support of their respective schools.
What I was thinking was more along the line of what would happen if Miles was back at an OkState or Saban was back at Michigan State. I don't think either of them have the kind of success at those schools that they are used to.
TL:DR version: Nick Saban would not be Nick Saban without LSU and Alabama in much the same way Les Miles isn't Les Miles without LSU.

Could Miles win 3 MNCs at Bama? Not a chance.

Why the hell not? He can recruit just as well, would get every fricking break in the world. It's not like Les hasn't beaten Saban half the time or anything
ETA: And terrific job missing the point entirely. Maybe you should stick to men's fashion.

A very small part of me wants the Rantards' fantasy of firing Miles to come true. Only then, would they see how lucky they are to have him as our coach.

Saban was peaking though in 99 when he guided Sparty to that 9-2 record (best since 65)...then rode that momentum into LSU...once he won that NC in 03 here...rock star status and instant cred.
Posted on 10/24/13 at 3:13 pm to BBJ
People sure do worry about his K. He ain't getting taxpayer money and the athletic dept is gonna maximize income either way.

Kind of how like Miles did well at OSU then came here and won a championship?
