You need a cable provider that is affiliated with ESPN3 to watch the regional. If yours isn't, you're screwed. A lot of people are going to be unpleasantly surprised when confronted with an unexpected login screen.

I'm unpleasantly surprised we had to have ANOTHER thread started about this topic, despite the stickied thread with all of the necessary information.

i just logged into my espn3 account, but its not connected to any TV provider... but the only things that have a key next to them are sportscenter... and i can watch everything else... the upcoming LSU game does not have a key next to it... Did i beat the system?

I can't get it at home (more to that but that's another subject) because Cablevison doesn't have ESPN3.

wasn't ESPN gloating during the SEC tournament about every pitch of every game of the tournament will be televised? ESPN hates...

ORLY? Just a couple lines down in Astro's OP of the stickied thread:

VIDEO OPTIONS:
1) ESPN3.com - this site REQUIRES you to log in, see below
2) watchESPN app - requires the same login as espn3.com
---a)Stream watchESPN from your iPhone or iPad through your AppleTV if you have both devices
---b)Stream from your Xbox360 with the ESPN app

- ESPN3 is available to people who have their cable tv OR home internet service through an ESPN3 affiliated provider
- ESPN3 - FAQs
-If you have a login ID for ESPN3.com, you will also have access to the watchESPN app on your phone or tablet. NOTE: this app requires the same log in that ESPN3.com does.
-If you are having trouble with ESPN3, try using a different browser such as Google Chrome.

Also, there is a difference between ESPN3 on the computer and the ESPN mobile app. The mobile app only works with a small handfull of providers. Don't download it unless you are certain that you have one of those providers. If just watching from the computer you may have to be persistent, but you can watch pretty much anywhere in Louisiana.

Yeah, att DSL doesn't work. Nor does internet-only Uverse. You have to have Uverse TV.

Actually I believe to watch ESPN3 you just need an ISP affiliated with it. To use the WatchESPN feature requires a cable subscription.
