I think the jury is still out on this guy coach ball. Hopefully i see more development from these receivers. Adam Henry was proven coach.
Beckham said Henry taught him so much to get ready at that nfl level.

This is Tony Ball's tenth year coaching WRs in the SEC. He is a proven coach.

He was pushed out at Georgia! Georgia has not produced nfl talent.

Aj green made it and that's it.
But only coached him for 2 years.

He is more running backs coach.
Henry played the position college.
He is more proven.
We will see how this plays out.

Georgia has had some WR that were damn good. Maybe they didn't go on to the NFL to be superstars but while at UGA, they were nuisances, they were so good.

All those guys with the hyphenated last names last season that UGA had. I think they still have a few.

Ball can coach.

Just 4th in producing nfl talent. Terrible

I was talking about at wide receiver position this has not been the case!

Georgia has been producing talent for years to the nfl at other positions.

He was named Georgia receivers coach in January, 2009, and in his first two years mentored 2011 NFL first round Bengals' draft choice and Pro Bowl selection A.J. Green. Ball also coached Tavarres King (2009-12), school and Outback Bowl record holder in single game receiving yards (205) and 2013 5th round pick of the Broncos. Detroit Lions receiver Kris Durham is also one of Ball's former receivers.

As a running backs coach, Ball mentored Knowshon Moreno, 2009 first round draft choice of the Denver Broncos. He also coached running backs Thomas Brown, Kregg Lumpkin, Danny Ware, and Brannan Southerland.

Ball is credited with coaching some of the school's greatest receivers including Ernest Wilford (2002-03), the school's all-time receptions leader, the first player in school history to post two 50-catch seasons, and a fourth round choice in the 2004 NFL draft.

Looks like he's produced nfl talent for years

The only guy who's been disappointing thus far this year has been Super (in a 2 game sample size mind you). He's had some drops that you wouldn't expect from him.

Dural has looked great, Diarse and Quinn haven't gotten many looks somno idea what toexpext of them yet, TE's look great catching the ball...I don't think Ball can be judged as a bad hire yet.

You can't be serious. Ball is legit and the receivers have improved a great deal. You will find out soon enough.

Seriously. Jury is still out. Was not home run hire as you think. Good recruiter I do give him that.

Definitely want to re-visit this topic later.
We have so much dam talent he better make it work.

Hopefully he can get Quinn to play at high level and produce.

The knock on Ball has actually been his recruiting. He's supposed to be good at coaching WRs.

Way to disguise a Trey Quinn post though. Trey's gonna get his, baw. Patient you must be.

Although he doesn't have an awesome recruiting track record, he can coach players up. It seems at Georgia they always have guys like Chris Conley that overachieve because Ball was able to get the most out of them. That's exactly what LSU needs right now. Not a great recruiting WR coach but a great developer of talent. Go watch them bust their arse on blocks so far this year, I've been impressed with the group.

and there it is. A Quinn thread. If Quinn doesn't see the field I hardly doubt it's coach ball's fault

The thing about producing NFL talent is that you produce NFL talent when you have NFL talent on your roster. We have NFL talent on our roster so coach Ball will produce NFL talent. If he was coaching at a school that didn't have NFL talent then he wouldn't produce NFL talent. Pretty simple really.

one thing I've noticed about our recievers for years now is that they have problems getting open. Considering how rarely we throw the ball it seems that it would not be so difficult to draw up plays that get our recievers wide fricking open when we do throw the ball.

OP actuallly defeats premise since what UGA accomplished w/o NFL WRs props coaching.
