Josh Gray was phenomenal last night! The way he pushed the ball inside either putting it up or dishing it off was impressive! This team is loaded with talent!

Yes, he will prove valuable coming off the bench.

He still plays a bit out of control in my opinion. But no doubt when he is on he is on.

He is a ridiculous basketball player. He's the best ball handler and most explosive penetrater on the team. His problems are to many wild arse bad decisions and not finishing at the rim. Regardless, an opposing team can stack all 5 in the lane and still not stop him from reaching the rim. Dudes good

That's the type of player everyone thought he could be coming out of JUCO

He's played his best basketball when it's open court and fast paced. This season's team will play open court and fast paced...

He will have a good year if he keeps his head on right. Talented kid.

Agreed, when he doesn't get trapped inside his own head and down on himself, he is a very talented and effective player

It's still gunna take alot for me to forget how miserable he was last year. Some things just can't be forgotten. I'm really hoping he's turned things around during the off season because that guy was a cancer on the court last year.

not to mention everyone on our team can shoot.

Drives and kicks/pick and rolls from him, Blakeney, and Simmons are going to be lethal

I agree that he's a good player, but I don't agree that he's the best ball handler on the team

I like him better as the off guard with simmons pushing the ball. His biggest asset is his first step

Maybe early in sec play

By the end of the year he was undoubtedly an asset and playing well

Would love to see him stop driving, jumping, then chunking the ball across the court for a long pass...

But he played very well last night. He was a big spark off the bench.

This is all true. An open court is his game. To much time in a half court set and he'll eventually throw the ball into the rafters. IF he can learn to slow the game down and wait for a good shot/pass he will be a serious prospect for the next level.

He's 6'1" shifty, and fast as lighting with the ball. Not taking a single thing away from Big Ben, but I'll take Gray getting the ball across half court in a full court press.

We've seen this and it isn't pretty. It is probably what he's struggled with the most actually. It's when his turnovers sky rocket. He struggles to pass out of the trap and panics.

Ben's vision, length, and height makes him far better to handle the full court press

His shiftiness is best used on his first step, especially when the D has to approach him. Can't keep him out the lane in that situation

His struggles were greatly exaggerated. Didn't play well, but ended with an ast:to ratio close to TQ

there was a point last night where he scored a 2, a 3, and then another 2... back to back to back.

THAT'S the kind of josh LSU needs...

I don't think I've ever seen a quicker player. He's got to learn to get himself under control after the burst and quit missing layups.
