Cant believe im saying this, but Josh Gray, you set the ton at the beginning of this game in your starting role, way to play aggressive defense. Made a few errors down the stretch, but it happens. This is how you should play the rest of the way! Thank you!!!

He was big. Played his arse off and his defensive intensity was key.
Good for that young man.
TQ as well.
Our PG's play well , we have a chance against anyone.

He was the man!

He's been a frustrating player at times, but his effort has NEVER been an issue.

Here's to another great one tomorrow.

He's been pretty decent this year. Not great, but certainly not terrible. People give him a bad wrap because of last year.

IN.

His defense set the tone early in the game. His picking up 2 fouls in the first half may have been worse than Simmons.

I wish the rest of the kids would emulate the effort and energy he gives on defense. Never know what you will get offensively. Sometimes it's good but many times it gets him pulled, which is a shame because we really need someone who gives a damn on the defensive end out there....and he does.

I've been screaming all year that he and TQ need to play together. They played together often last year and we sure as Hell had better results than this year.

He can be wild, but having a 3rd ball handler and creator is something we haven't had in a while.

He can be wild,

He has got to get that under control because if he does we have a shot. When he's not going Tack Minor and dribbling with his head down and no sense of purpose, he can actually be very effective offensively.

But again, it's his defense we need out there. The rest of the kids give the effort and energy sometimes on defense and some rarely. He brings it all the time. We need that very badly, so if he can limit the wildness....and that's a big if for him as we've seen so many times...he is a plus for us.

I also think we need to get more from Patterson in his minutes. We need another outside threat and he has shown at times he can bring that....it would be nice if that's today.

Before Kentucky game we talk I told him your the only SR left. looking upset on the bench because you aren't playing as much isn't going to help your team. You been through too much in your life to not fight. Now use that to lead.

What are your thoughts of the way this team finished?

Poorly coached + good effort = very average, inconsistent and undisciplined team.

poorly coach + bad effort = Team that showed up Saturday.

When A&M was in the zone I thought I was watching Star Wars they way they treated the 3 point line like an un-penetrable force field!!!

He could have been better in a legitimate system.

The first half A&M run started when he went to the bench. He and Simmons had some semblance of a two man game going at that time. He didn't come back in until 7 or so minutes left in the half and the ship had already sailed. I don't understand how Jones didn't see how under control and aggressive he was playing. He was the answer to our PG problems, at least for the SECT.

Josh was the only one playing hard throughout in our SEC Tourney games.
He was running his arse off defending guards, and was definitely the only player to defend with passion.
I've no idea why JJ sat him so much, not just at this tournament, but during the season. As far as I know, he was never in trouble for academics ( in fact he'll graduate on time in May - pretty good for a JC college transfer student athlete) or team discipline.
He wanted to play as long as he could and I feel bad for him.
Good luck for your future Josh!

With all of his faults, EFFORT was never one of them. He brought it every minute he was on the floor. Only one other Tiger can say that this year.....
