Jordan Jefferson Will Be A Stud Next Season

He had the 5th highest QB rating in the SEC this season as a 19 year old. With an overhauled offensive line, his numbers will only improve.
I expect good things in the future for Jefferson and the Tigers.

Prior to this season, speculation was that he was in the running for the Heisman.
I'll wait to see what he does and keep my effin' mouth shut.

STFU, no one ever said that. Most people thought the Peach Bowl was an indication of things to come. What people didn't count on was the o-line being complete dog shite.

Honestly, I still like JJ. I think he is a pretty good QB. He has saved us with his feet on a few occasions. When he sets his feet, he throws a nice ball.
It was just frustrating watching the Penn St game when he just kept chunking it at the receivers' feet. I know it was a wet ball and all. Plus, he is just scared to throw sometimes. Several times in the Penn St game, it looked like the receivers were getting open. Either he didn't know the route or he was getting pressure too early. I hope the O-line comes through next year.

Will see. Hope someone can work with him to correct deficiencies. He definitely has the tools. Bit premature to put any labels on him.

By idiots, who then let their own inability to rationally understand the situation as a reason to throw the kid under the fricking bus for not meeting their retarded expectations.

You know as well as I that people lurk within the shadows here that make outlandish predictions like that. At this time they're the ones that believe that Russell Shepard would instantly solve all our problems on offense.

certianly didnt help Jordans cause, but it wasnt the sole blame as you and others seem to incinuate.

Naturally, but I think the percentage who thought/think that way is higher than you or I would care to know.

I'd place the blame as follow:
60% - coaches
30% - o-line
10% - QB

Right...but they're idiots. I think JJ was fine with some expecetions and think he'll be far better next year if the way QB's mature is any indication.
But those people with unreasonable expectations, like JJ being in the running for the Heisman as a true sophmore, are a major reason why a large portion of our fanbase is NEVER EVER happy...because they have ridiculous expecations with no hope of coming true only to, inevitably, have them NOT come true...at which point in time they whine like bitches about how LSU has underperformed.
I hate a good portion of LSU's fans...

I can't see the future. I go with probabilities based upon experience.
QBs tend to get better with experience and maturity. JJ will be much better next year.

I think JJ will only improve if he is challenged and the position is not given to him. It was given to him after last year and he did not improve as much as people would have liked. QB's are going to face pressure in every game and until JJ can learn how to handle that pressure and stop looking confused on the field, he will not be the QB that some of you hope.
I personally believe it is coaching but JJ still has to put the work in the offseason and the only way to drive him too do that is keep it an open competition through fall practice

Sigh... as do I sadly. Twice as unfortunate is that a good portion of them congregate here.
I was always cautiously optimistic about JJ. Coming out of last year, he had never managed to put together two good halves of football. For all people like to talk about the Peach Bowl, he was god-awful in the second half.
He has made some great progressions this year, but I do worry about how this alleged move from Crowton to Gonzales at OC is going to affect his development.
