If this defense would have played with Lee last year, we would have beaten Arkansas, Bama, and Georgia. And, we would have had a chance to win against both UF and Ole Miss.

When teams are putting up 50 points on you in a game, you need to have Peyton Manning to compete.

Bingo.

As much as hate to say it, Les may be playing out what has to happen. He may have to let JJ get out there and do what he's doing, so that he can put Lee in. At least now, he can say he tried.

Jefferson has definitely not shown any improvement. Yes, we played the #1 team in the nation, but we should have put up more than 3 points. OL may not be perfect, but you have to know how to step up in the pocket and he doesn't.

If memory serves me correct, most of Lee's pick 6's were a result of/from tipped balls from the receiver (in some cases IN and out of their hands) AND poor play calling with repeated use of the out and hitch routes...which we have done very seldom this year. Although it appeared that Lee's strength was the downfield ball (posts, fades, corners and gos) routes, Crowton continued to call those damn out and hitch routes. Bottom line for me is JJ is NOT the answer this year...!!!

We have to give Lee a shot. Its simple:
The man scores points.
Our defense is leaps and bounds better than last year.
Like someone said, with this defense last year, we go 9-3 probably with a possible 10-2.

Lee's thrown for about 50 yards per game more than Jefferson.

Yeah, but do INT return yardage count as passing yardage?

do 3 and outs and not scoring points on offense count as giving the other team points?

When JJ is struggling, like he seems to do in the 3rd Qtr of games, why not let him sit a series or two to collect himself, and give Lee a shot. It can't get much worse than the 109th offense in the country.

this fricking argument is stupid.

This

It's absurd to think that Lee hasn't improved

If JJ improved enough to get the nod then why is it assumed that Lee is still the same QB as last year also?

Yeah, and you were kind not to list TD to INT ratio and also kind not to mention that last year's OL was much better than this year's. The running game alone proves that point regardless of sacks or the passing game.

The running game we had because of our ability to throw the ball down the field? Teams are stacking the box against JJ.
