Something like that. JJ tends to take care of the ball so I give him the benefit of the doubt on INTs. TDs was a toss up.
I am on a Blackberry so it is hard to find, but does anyone know JJ/Smiths rushing numbers. I would think that is in Smiths favor as well.

People conveniently forget when quoting or lackluster passing yards that it is mainly because we don't pass often.
Still doesn't make up for the fact that when we do pass we're only hitting our target 57% of the time. Also, the lack of passing will get DB's cheating up and should in turn make our WR's a little more open.
I haven't read though the whole thread, but just wanted to point this out after seeing it on the 1st page.

I don't want to get involved with an internal matter, but I vote for this opinion:
quote:
frick it both sides can skew stats to ride along with their oppinion
If Jefferson's play on the field that you have seen is adequate for you fine.
If not well thats fine too.
Bottom line is nothing is going to change so either it is good enough for you or it is not....simple as that.

Do our opinions matter? frick no.
That being said, would you trade JJ straight up for Smith?
I think Smith would do very well in this system as he appears to be more athletic and a better runner, and at worst he is equal to JJ when it comes to passing. Oh and he is a year younger. I would make the trade.

WOW, I don't care who they played... that's really good.
Marshall WHOOPED his arse. He was sacked on the last drive in THEIR endzone had they not held. The REFS blew that call. So I don't put much into his stats. devine accounted for a lot of those yards after catch

What Mr. Boucher really means is that he wishes we had a QB that was not under the coaching of Miles or Crowton.
That's really what he means. It's just easier to blame the 20 yr old for not developing himself under guys that have coached the game longer than he's been alive.
You don't have to thank me, boucher. This one's on me.

It's not hard to put up stats against Coastal Carolina, Marshall, and Maryland.

He converted 5 3rd downs 3runs 2passes. Hit shep in the hands for 2 more that would have been converted third downs, one target was to shep but th d lineman got his hand up and knocked it down, one when he got nailed because Blue didn't pick up the blitzing Dback, and one he threw short on 3rd and 4 to Toliver. (all in MSU game)
So I just explained all his 3rd downs for the MSU games.
He never has time on any third down play. If we can pick up our 3rd down blocking we would convert a lot more, and that goes for 3rd down run blocking. THAT, has definitely got to ge better.

correct, but he's still completing them... Granted, there's been drops, but JJ has been off target too (minus state game)
Minus North Carolina game too.
Vandy was his very inaccurate game.

Of course Smith has seen worse competition, but JJ put up his worst performance of the year against the worst secondary we have faced. Smiths numbers are to be taken with some consideration for competition, but they are still much better than JJs.

I don't care what defense you play against - but completing a 98 yard drive followed by a 96 yard drive, then a 2 point conversion???? Are you kidding me? That is TALENT. Hate, hate, hate, and hate some more. Bring on the hate. I don't care.
Anytime you move the chains for 194 consecutive yards with the game on the line, and no room for error with the clock running down - that is impressive. Go watch Will Johnson's endzone catch. Want to talk about an incredible throw... wow! You obviously haven't seen it. You can beat up Geno whatever you want, but tell me the last time any team (high school, ncaa, nfl) had 2 consecutive game winning drives of over 95+ yards with time running out.

Dead Fish, STFU. You go out of your way to say that JL sucks, yet you blame JJs problems on coaching.
You are by far the worst poster on the Rant, and that is saying something. No one hates on any pkayer more than you do on JL. Grow the frick up and learn how to advocate for JJ without dragging JL through the mudd.

Whether JJ or JL...
Please tell me one QB that has been groomed into something "kinda special" under Miles & Crowton.
(Not Saban)

Sort of like JL’s problems are also due to piss poor coaching, and, by the way, you go out of your way to denigrate JJ every chance you get in order to lobby for JL to start all based on a stupid spring game.

Except for you. However, you are also the most stupid as well

bullshite! I have nothing against JL. He just isn’t just as good as JJ and if you think he is like a loon, then why do you think he isn’t starting you moron? Is it because of some sort of sinister coaching plot to wreck his playing career? You are not only a loser, but you are also the biggest moron on the Rant.

Hell you are so dumb you can't even spell the word mud accurately!
Actually, it’s the other way around, you are always vilifying and demonizing JJ in order to lobby for JL to start and it’s all based on a fricking spring game where he threw another unforced pick six and where the speed and intensity doesn’t come close to replicating the speed and intensity of an actual SEC game and where there is no blitzing and where the defenses are as vanilla as possible. In other words, my dog forgot more about football than you will ever know.

Eat shite Boh, you are easily one of the most mentally deficient posters on the rant.
