will you please come coach our Tigers? We can offer you 3.75 million a year, top notch facilities, and a lot of young talent. We just need someone to develop them and make sound fundamental decisions during the course of the game.

So pretty please with a cherry on top... come to Baton Rouge?

lol

Why would a super bowl winning coach take a college job? It would be years down the road before he takes a college job. Once he realizes no more NFL teams want to hire him, if that situation arises.

From what I have gathered just on ESPN is that he is happy doing MNF and he would either coach at ND or pros. Now, take that for what it is worth, there is nothing concrete about that.

The guy took an NFL team to the Super Bowl.

Why would he want to coach a college team?

I didn't follow this coaching search very closely, but I just saw that Oregon wanted him to be their offensive coordinator this season.

Because coaching at LSU would be better than coaching... I mean commentating on MNF. He will coach again, and I think he's more likely to get a head coaching position in college than the pro's.

Do you see the jokers NFL teams are hiring these days. Gruden will get another NFL head coaching job.

Senior bowl... dude is the shite. and he commands instant respect.

Chucky on the recruiting trail would be better than Petey and the Ogre combined.

How can you be so sure that Jon Gruden would rather coach at LSU instead of being on MNF? Of course I think it is better as does every LSU fan. But, I think as a fan base we need to get a little bit better grip on who we can actually get as a coach. It isn't going to be as easy as everyone thinks. Most people seem to think we are just going snap our fingers and whoever we want will come running.

Who knows, I'm just dreaming. If I were conducting a search I'd start with that guy.

Why do you think he would be successful at LSU?

Do you think that he knows more about football? Does he know a secret about how the game is played? How players are motivated? Developed?

Paying a lot of money for a big name coach is not the answer.

I didn't say "Miles is gone and I think Gruden will be our next coach because LSU is the shite and that's just how we roll."

I just said that I'd be ecstatic if he were LSU's head coach. Will he, won't he, will we offer, would he come if we offered etc etc etc. it's neither here nor there.

NFL and Super Bowl experience - he knows what it takes to get there, and players LOVE this. I can't overstate that enough.

Senior Bowl - I watched a special "in the huddle" type of thing when he coached there. He's a great leader, understands player development, and can have guys buy in almost instantaneously.

He loves developing QB's - we need this desperately.

Although recruiting would be new for him, guys would be lining up to play at LSU for Gruden.
