I really like how well he recruits but I'm skeptical of his in-game coaching ability. We don't run a very efficient offense. It's pretty sporadic and more like "street ball". Also, games like tonight's when we have a CLEAR size advantage we settle for 20 3 point shots instead of working the ball down low into the paint. I was VERY confused and frustrated by this and don't understand his coaching philosophy at all! We have to start taking advantages where we have them.

I don't think that the offensive "philosophy" is bad so much as individual decision making is an early problem. If Gray can settle down and try to orchestrate the offense more he could be a great point guard. TQ definitely has the most talent in the assist game.

The biggest problem is intensity, mostly on defense but somewhat on offense as well. The guards need to apply more pressure to not leave the forwards exposed. I will have to re-view the game to take a look at the forwards in the first half defensively.

Haha it does sound like a football thread. All three major sports suffer offensively! It's like a virus lol

Let us not panic yet my friend..... he was coaching against somebody with a NC and many more miles as a head coach than he has.. but guess what....he won.... I agree some of tonight was "confusing," but I like the look so far

You like the look because you see the obvious talent! Who wouldn't like the look. But just like last year we play very undisciplined, sporadic basketball. Tons of turnovers and take waaaay to many questionable shots! Not to mention very few actual plays run in the half court.

LSU's offense is fine. They won despite having a bad night shooting. The shots they were taking open for the most part. This team won't shoot this poorly from 3 again.

There's some new faces out there. They have got to get used to playing with each other against real competition. I was a big critic of hiring Jones. That said, I stand corrected. I actually like the direction that program is heading.

New faces or not, this team looks and plays exactly like it did last year, which isn't good
