To the deepest depths of coaching ineptitude.

He should do a Rasheed "both teams played hard" after next game just for the hell of it.
Posted on 1/25/17 at 11:11 pm to jlu03
He said, "To be real with you, I thought we'd lose by 40, so to me, this is sort of like a win."

If he actually said that, he should have been fired on the spot.

He apologized to the fans for having to endure the game.

Hell, I would respect him saying that more than the "have to have better intensity, have to play better as a team" bull shite he always says.

Few quotes from JJ tonight.
quote:
“When we left Arkansas the other night, I thought we had a chance to go to war against a very good Florida team,” said Jones, whose team fought back from a 17-point deficit there to cut it to six twice in the final 3½ minutes. “But we didn’t get that tonight.”
“We got our butts kicked at Wake Forest and we’ve had some other big-time setbacks,” Jones said. “We have got to get this thing fixed and get it to a certain level at this point of the season. We have got to get our focus back.”
“Again, I’m disappointed in tonight’s game because I certainly didn’t see that coming,” Jones said. “We have to do a helluva lot better.”

He actually said this?
Anyone who even remotely follows LSU basketball knows what's been going on the past month or so.
Even the announcers on TV said, "Now LSU gets to the hard part of their schedule."
Unbelievable.

Johnny...pack your shite!
It's over!
It's over!

Johnny's goal is to stay within 70 of Kentucky. 140-71.

I actually agree with Moscona on this... it's time to play the walk ons. Last night besides Mays and Sims no one gave a crap. Play the back ups. It can't be worse.

Can we use the walk on coach instead?
Posted on 1/26/17 at 7:22 am to themunch
Chris Jackson for interim. Only way to get my attention back.

First he said he thought LSU would lose by 40? Then he said he didn't see this coming. Seems very contradictory

He didn't actually say he thought they would lose by 40

Ahhhhh-- I missed the sarcasm. I hate when that happens. Thanks for clearing up.

The defensive strategy last night appeared to be allow them to shoot wide open 3's and hope they miss. I know they had struggled on contested 3's of late, but there was no contesting going on last night.
