But he can stand there with a blank look on his face and can twist the cap off of a water bottle, take a slug, and twist the cap back on with the best of them. That's his best move while coaching.

He had a mediocre coaching record before coming to LSU from a mediocre conference. Why should anyone be surprised he has failed here?
The scary thing is, Coach O had even a worst head coaching record than Johnny but some, including Alleva, expect great success in football.
Beat five teams you should beat, lose to a team that's better than you, lose to a team at home that you are better than, score ten points total in losing, don't even have anyone in ALL of college football offer you anything but a DL job and become the LSU head coach. I cant wait for Alleva to decide who should be next basketball coach at LSU!

yes, Jones is poor coach.
But what's now bothering me as much as the poor on-floor stuff is Jones' demeanor on the sidelines. Honestly, he looks half asleep. Maybe that's just his personality, and I'm not saying I want a lunatic jumping around like Bruce Pearl, but damn, Johnny, show some emotion and fire. The players feed off the coach, and Jones just looks dead on the sidelines.

I agree JJ is a bad coach, but the truth is LSU basketball will always be in the background. Do I wish we would do better? Yes! Do I want to become like Auburn and have all these ex-coaches on the payroll for years to come paying them off. No! Let him work out his contract and be done. That's money we could put towards more important things in the athletic department!

You know what was really embarrassing to me. At the half of IMHO the worst performance by an LSU basketball team I've seen in my 40+ years against A$M in the SEC tournament, CJJ at half saying we played with a lot of energy.
The play-by-play guy for the game said, "he must have a different definition of playing with energy than me".
