Any updates on the young man. Just sitting here watching Trey Hollys media interview got me thinking about him. Hope Emerys strong and has support around him. He’s got to be pretty down at the moment.

His sister and I are Facebook friends since the Year of the Natty.

He had surgery presumably on his injury.

She has not posted again.

I hated it ended the way it did, but I admire his commitment to LSU!

If he had surgery, it’s pretty safe to assume it was on his injury.

Dam, and I thought it was for the ingrown toenail he has on his left foot

Could have been a tonsillectomy.

He could technically still come back next year if he chooses. I thought he would leave this year before the injury, but now it seems like he would be in a really shitty spot if he declares.

The questions are A) whether he can get right after the injury and B) whether he has the motivation to go through another year of college ball. But money talks, and he’s potentially losing a lot of it if he hangs up his cleats.

Unless I’m crazy and someone takes a flyer on him in the draft anyway. But that seems pretty risky.

John Emery has so much talent and potential but just couldn't seem to sustain anything.

Wish him the best and still lived his TD vs Bama in '22

Hoping he's able to keep playing ball if that's what he wants to do, whether it's in college or at the next level.

He had some good moments here and was able to win a natty.
