Amidst the dazzling lights of the NFL stage, Joe Burrow is making headlines for his philanthropic activities. Burrow recently made a generous donation, close to $600,000 to 21 organizations in Ohio and Louisiana. The funds will be used to tackle issues of food insecurity and childhood mental health among others.

~$28,500 per organization - definitely a big boost to most non-profits.
$600,000 k total doesn't seem like a huge amount for a guy making what Burrow is likely making. I guess he is still under his rookie contract but with endorsements, I wonder what % of income that is. Not the level I think of when I think of philanthropy.

Why don’t you drop $600k to charity if the money is no big deal?

Why does the % of his income matter? If I have $100 to my name and give it all to charity it doesn't somehow magically do more good than the $600,000 because it's a small % of his income. It's a lot of money regardless.

Yes, there were some rumored figures on the new contract about a month ago now, but nothing official that its a done deal yet. He will become the highest paid QB, but not just yet.

GTFO here with that BS! Joe is the man. Oh, by the way don't be counting Joe's money. He is very generous to people in need. What a clown!

under 6 million this year without his signing bonus that was spread out over 3 yrs. 10% of your pre taxed salary is pretty damn gratious

There are numerous jackasses on this site, but you might just be the biggest. What a jerk!
An ex-Tiger, one of our very greatest, gives hundreds of thousands of dollars away to charity and you bitch about that it’s not enough?!?!?!
GTFO!!!!

Naturally, cuz he is a losing (basketball Iowan fan) at an " undisclosed location" afraid to come out of hiding and face reality

I can assure you, $600,000 is a lot of money to pretty much everyone. Even rich folks.

+1 on the take (True Dat) but it is refreshing he's not blowing it (that we know of) at strip clubs, etc. like James Harden or someone like that. Props for the philanthropy - no matter the percentage of income. One of the greatest Tigers of all-time both on and off the football field.

I give half of my money to Charity.
The nights she’s not there I give my money to Destiny.

This is not the only time he's donated money to worthy causes. He's on his third year of his initial contract & he's donated from his signing 3 years ago.
