Saying all the right things with the Miles firing and now he isn't backing down to Florida's media manipulation.

I know I'm Pro-LSU, but he sounds like someone telling the truth when you compare his statements to everything Florida has been saying.

He's handled 2016 pretty well so far. A home-run coaching hire and this may his best year as AD.

Not according to these retarded people on this board that 1/never went to an LSU game and 2/ never attended a class at LSU.

Really? A canceled SEC game is killing it? Especially when all other Florida schools are playing?

He's actually grown some balls since he got out maneuvered last November I'll give you that.

Unfortunately those balls don't seem to have grown any hair on them yet. It's his reluctance to go national with Florida's cowardice that is allowing LSU to be painted the villain right now.

Alleva gets a bad rap.

The dude did everything he fricking could to get Les miles out of here last season.

I get what you're saying, but it's really hard for him to put his dick out there like that when he knows people will be dying in Florida. Yes, Gainesville won't be affected very badly, but still. We live in a PC culture.

What could he possibly have done differently? The SEC was siding with Florida from the get go. He has come out attacking ever since calling Florida out and calling them out with facts. There's only so much he can do.

His incompetence got him out maneuvered last season. If he would've kept his fricking mouth shut and done his job quietly than Les wouldn't have had a chance to garner political reinforcements.

He tried to do the right thing. He's a smart guy. He knows what needs of be done and he tries to do it however his lack of political acumen gets him beat everytime.

..when you start your statement with this you automatically disqualify yourself from saying anything of substance. Retarded lives matter.

He doesn't have to bad mouth Florida. All he has to do is on Tuesday state publicly that LSU is willing to fly and house the Florida team to whatever venue they deem fit to play in.

Bam.

It is now known that LSU is both looking out for safety and trying their damndest to get this game played.

You have to get out in front of florida. Make the first impression on the public before Florida gets the chance to write the narrative.

Not exactly. He is obviously an AD without any clout in the SEC. In the last few years he was:

1. Unable to get UF off of LSU's permanent schedule.
2. Unable to get Les fired at the right time. His inability to do so cost LSU and this great roster any chance at championships.
3. He was unable to lobby for better bowl games. On several occasions better bowls selected other schools.
4. He was unable to force Foley's hand this week. Because of his lack of influence with the commissioner (compared to Foley) a game where LSU was a clear cut favorite was canceled.

This one I can't really blame him for. Foley has been in the SEC how long? Other than Bama I don't think any AD in the SEC has more clout than Foley.

If he comes out guns a blazin he is written off as insensitive to the disaster going on in Florida. He did what he could. Gave multiple alternatives but ultimately the SEC seems to allow way too much power to the hosting school.

Wrong! He's weak and should have been on the phone with sec demanding this game happens instead of on local radio playing the good guy role! Now ban my comment TD!

Exactly. He did everything HE could do and it wasn't enough. Meaning, HE didn't get his job done.

1- Not his fault. How many other schools wanted to do away with cross division rivals? It's not going to happen if only a couple schools want it.

2- He had Les fired, and Jimbo coming in. Someone from the BOS leaked the story, not Joe.

3- Maybe right, maybe not. He's not the only one involved in these decisions.

4- He did everything he could this week to get this game moved. He can't force Sankey to make a decision. Slive would've had this game moved to BR, or somewhere else, by Tuesday.

He probably was, but it's not his fault that Sankey is in over his head and couldn't make a decision. He can demand the game be played all he wants, but if the SEC allows UF to drag their feet, there's nothing he can do.

He did all he could man. There is only so much Alleva could do or try to convince them to do. The SEC and Florida refused to listen or agree with anything Alleva offered. Not allevas fault.
