This is bad news for LSU. Despite what really happened, we are gonna look bad. Anything Alleva says we'll be seen as a response to the "official word" that Foley has already spoken.

Not getting ahead of this is going to hurt LSU in the long run.

He did. Played again...in the PR department anyway.

As far as I know his actions were sound but he didn't anticipate UF throwing LSU under the bus.

Not sure why you're surprised by this

Just the idea of Alleva handling something professionally is laughable

Another PR failure by LSU, how surprising.

Should have got out in front. Allowed Florida the victim role.

LSU should have made a public offer yesterday of all this and put the pressure on Florida

I'm pretty neutral on the Alleva bashing, but some of this is absolutely on him. He should have been putting CONSTANT pressure on the SEC office to step in earlier. Especially when Florida kept postponing announcements and clearly dragging this thing out. LSU was not vocal enough and apparently couldn't influence the SEC office to step in until today. That's an administrative failure.

We are weak. We always are in these situations. We need an AD that's so freaking crazy that they are terrified of screwing him over! The SEC Commissioner should be fired over this and the Florida Gaytards should be given an L.

How do you know he didn't? Obviously the sec didn't care what we thought.

Yea he did and that's not good....but he just needs to lay out exactly what we offered and make sure he enunciates that Jeremy Foley and the University of Florida turned down every offer.....he can get strength back on our side which he has to do for this rescheduling fiasco.....if it is even rescheduled.

I actually like Alleva and he did the right thing here, except for not speaking before Florida did. He should've hung up the phone from the game being canceled and been giving a press conference right after. Playing nice doesn't work here.

He who sets the tone, makes the rules and frames the discussion. The main talking points will be that LSU tried to get out of playing LSU every year and refused to reschedule the game to 11/19.

It is unfair somewhat. But he should have spoken first. Told the media everything that LSU offered. And then directly stated that Jeremy Foley sat on his hands until the situation was too far gone and that the SEC had to step and lead where Florida's AD failed to.

LSU for 2+ days has offered flexibility in playing the game this weekend in FL or BR.

100% Correct.

Alleva has once again shown himself to be an idiot. This frankly should be his 'Auburn'.
