i wasnt making them out to be all sec players yet. I meant jefferson was IMPROVING more than lee. So what lee had a good half against auburn and troy- but he still was throwing picks to tulane and north texas so hows that for your progression?? I still think lee can be a capable qb but jefferson will outperform lee even though lee has a year up on him in experience

Lee has confidence issues it seems. He played a whale of a game at Auburn as soon as he hit Chris Mitchell on a haymaker, and it carred into a good game against Miss St.

It also doesn't help when he is put into a hole by a defense that gave up way too many opening drives for touchdowns.

well then the stats say hatch should be the starter. Dag nabbit lets get him out there and throw that deep out route. Hell if lee cant do it, hatch probably can!

once again that is your opinion,... you have nothing factual to back that up...granted you are entitled to believe that and even root for one qb over the other, however right now for you and every other poster thats drinking the same koolaide.. its just an opinion.

once again 6 quarters, which half you JJ lovers refuse to even consider... hell since we are on the discussion... how about JL progression from Ntx to auburn.?..far more impressive than OM (which we scored 13 points against 2nd worse defense,) to ark (which is worse defense) where we managed 63 yrds offense 4 first downs second half,, and 44 came on one scoring pass....dont kid yourself dude, both of these guys have a long ways to go.

Wow, talk about a warped, biased viewpoint.

JLee had North Texas to get better or "practice" off of in order to get prepared at least somewhat against Auburn.

While JJ on the other hand came in not really knowing if he was going to play too much in the game came in against Ole Miss, who..... oh by the way..... is the only team to beat Florida this year ON THE ROAD.

As for someone posting all those stats on all 3 qbs, you're missing one key stat.

Number of quarters/drives each have played all season. You notice that is a key factor into why Lee's numbers are better because he had more opportunities to score touchdowns and make completions.

I realize that i favor jefferson over lee so i definitely have my bias there. But sometimes its not all about the numbers and stats. While they are certainly nice to have, jpw at bama made it to the sec championship throwing 9tds and 5 ints or something like that...

you do realize that Nrth tx and auburn were first of the season and JL had been splititing time with AH..so his practice or gettign prepared to play was as early for him as it was fo JJ in the 20th and 11th game of the year.

The only reason JL has more qrtrs to "make his numbers better" is bc our coaches as they stated 100 times believed that JL gave us best chance to move the ball and score points which we did.

Not in the first half he didn't!

He's getting better though. I think he only threw one pick yesterday, and it was late in the game.

He went through his progression and made good throws.

Pity he took NINE SECONDS to do so (and then didn't make a completion) when we only had 11 secs left in the game, eh? Inexperienced QBs make big mistakes. Period.

All your points are valid but arent you forgetting something?

Correct me if Im wrong but Im pretty sure Les said or at least hinted that their plan was to redshirt JJ from the beginning. Meaning that prior to the season starting JL and Hatch got pretty much the bulk if not all the reps. JL was getting his head filled with plays from the playbook as well as more reps with the first team than JJ did.

Coming into the season its obvious who had the heads up. You cant say that its comparable when its obvious who was fed more of the offense from the very beginning.

true.. bottom line neither JJ or JL needed to be playing this year.,, lets hope we have taken our lumps in 08 for a rebound to our winning ways in 09.

If you look at it that way, it could be better too. It should have been better...

Don't really see the reason to compare us to UCLA.

JL does not appear to have what Mauck and Flynn had, Moxie.
