I work in PR and marketing/communications and have had to train the higher ups at various jobs in how to talk to the media. Some people normally gravitate to the 'I' when talking about BOTH singular or group events, and some just gravitate to 'we' even when talking about singular accomplishments OR failures. It's not a character fault, it's a mind to mouth trait. Some of the biggest assholes I ever worked for found it impossible to say 'I' (even when the PR department was begging them to do so), and some of the most respected leaders who were all about *team* often resorted to 'I' when discussing team events with the press. The entire focus on it is complete and utter bullshite. And the people who focus on it suck ten thousand times more than they *think* JJ does.
