Not street cred. Why would you even suggest the term "street cred"?

It's called integrity.

It's called being part of a team.

I doubt he gets indicted on 2nd degree battery. Hillar, IMO, is letting this go to the grand jury because he doesn't want to prosecute this but he doesn't want to seem like he's showing favoritism and he thinks it won't get past the grand jury.

I agree, but this wont end until that point was my only comment.

This motion is a loser.

JJ should transfer to a school where he could be "the guy" and really shine for a year.

Arkansas State or, perhaps, University of Wyoming

Would you tell on your brother? It was fight, and if the guy is a true marine he would know that. I am a Army Vet, who has had a couple of run ins with marines.

So you are saying you value JJ taking the fall for someone else above the truth coming out? This is assuming that JJ isn't the kicker. The video clearly shows someone kicking someone and if JJ didn't do it then obviously there were enough LSU players present to identify the "real" kicker.

Who gives a flying flip about the truth? It was a fight at a college bar.

Jefferson really got screwed in this whole situation.

There's really no way around this. We've all seen the videos...the man kicking Lowery was clearly wearing a dark shirt, and JJ clearly had a light shirt on that night.

JJ is innocent. That being said, as far as him getting his starting job back, no way. I would not mess with success. It should be Lee's job to lose right now, not JJ's to win.

Quite honestly, the best thing for both JJ and the LSU team would be for JJ to red-shirt, and compete for the job again next season.

Jarrett Lee has earned the right to be LSU's starting QB this season. And we need to get Mettenberger the reps he needs to get ready for next season.

According to Louisiana Law, the Judge hearing the motion can and will make a decision.

Sorry that you don't like JJ playing, but keep in mind he earned the position over Lee on off season.

I don't see Miles punishing him by benching him any more if this accusation is cleared up. Thats just me. But all the supporters of each QB splits this one. Let the best player play!

What about the video showing the guy in the light colored shirt working on his PAT's?

AGAIN, the eyewitnesses at the scene, including football players, have provided statements. And it is certain the players have spoken to Miles and told him what they saw.

Does anyone really believe that Miles didn't know right away what happened? That he didn't give the players the "tell me the truth or you'll never play a down" speech?

There was too much at stake for all involved - the JJ's, the team, and the fans.

You obviously didnt watch it very intently. There were multiple kickers. The 1st "stomper," clearly was wearing a light colored shirt

The guy on the left? No. That was not Jefferson.

There are a few things I know for certain: (1) a young man in a dark shirt kicked Lowery; that young man was not Jefferson or Johns; (2) a young man in a light shirt kicked Lowery; that young man was not Jefferson; (3) there is no video that shows Jefferson involved in the fracas.

The team has not offered up the name of the young man in the dark shirt. If the young man in the light shirt is not Johns, the team has not offered up that name either. Maybe the team doesn't know who kicked Lowery. What are they supposed to tell Miles?

An what's Miles going to do if the football players tell Miles that it wasn't Jefferson? Is Miles going to tell the DA, "Look, it really, really wasn't Jefferson. I'm a coach. You can trust me. You need to dismiss the charges."

If JJ had kept his rear in his room and was the leader he claimed, he would not have been in the situation to begin with. No one did this to him. He made the decision and must reap the consequences.

No arguments with this. That being said, apparently breaking curfew following the final day of practice had become something of a team tradition.

Some traditions need to die. Let's hope this is one of those.

Well hell, why worry bout the DNA then...just call Miles in for questioning and ask him what the players told him....case closed.

This case never sees the light of day in a court room as a felony. imo
