ok, we've all heard it and seen it - kid is mediocre at best, worse each year - etc etc etc ... It makes me sick to my stomach to hear a coach talk about his "newly found work ethic"! I mean, the kid plays QB at LSU - is that not motivation enough? What message does this send to other players?? Unreal - it's like Miles is seeing a totally different player than we are - WTF??! 4-14 in Spring game and we are one of the worst ranked offensive teams in the country last 2 years!! Mettenberger is head and shoulders better than JJ!

Maybe they need some new recruits to "push" them.

exactly Choctaw - it's only a SPRING game and the kid still can't lite up half our defensive talent that he has been throwing against for 3 years!! you made my point jackwipe!

you mean that same defense that damn near already knows what you're going to do before you do it? JJ played better than his stats say.

WTF does this even mean? He looked as nervous and 5 seconds behind as he ever has.

tards. JJ looked alot better than his stats say. Better footwork. A great pass that RR dropped that woulda been a TD. A great play by Simon aborted another td. A pass knocked down at the LOS that in a game, that dlineman woulda been cut on a slant.

What the hell do you expect Les to say, "our qb's suck, we are never going to win with JJ, and JL sucks more than JJ, we can't win the NC with the QB's we have. We all know the QB's are not that great, including our coaching staff.

Yeah, like that awful midair move by Shep in the wide open on the first series when he turned around and caught the ball thrown way behind him and off target....wait a minute....

stats don't have asterisks. you think those same things don't happen to qb's with better completion percentages?

Who cares, Mettenburger isn't unseating a 5th year starter in his final season, especially not before the season even starts.. Miles to a fault is as loyal as they get and JJ (and JLee to an extent) will be given every chance possible to lead this team to a NC.. he doesnt have to be all-american caliber just needs to be able to manage the game in which i fully think he can do next season with the proper play calling.. but all this crying about who should be the starter isnt going to change the fact that its JJ's job until he completely drops a game or 2

You mean the series where he threw about 3' behind RS and he still made the catch? He holds onto the ball too long and his delivery is too slow. This has always been the case. All the fundamentals talk from Krags doesn't change that.
