Lulz, yeah "a stupid thing" if that makes you feel better about the whole thing..
I'm quite certain that Mr. Clean Marine did a stupid thing. He started the entire mess with his actions inside the bar.

Poor JJ. He looks like he has been through the ringer.

This is so sad, these players lives have been ruined and it hasn't even been proved that they are guilty. Why is it we have not heard the players side of the story, yet the shady 4 stories have been all over all the news media outlets? This case has been a JOKE!

I do feel a little sad for Jefferson

For 2nd degree battery? I'm sure they won't spend a day in jail. They'll pay a fine, do community service, and a couple years of probation. Meh, not the end of the world.

Good.
They are good kids who did a stupid thing. . .no reason for them to be surrounded by the human excrement that inhabits our prison system.

You can go to jail for forgetting to pay a speeding ticket..
Lets keep this all in perspective
their lives are not over.. please stop saying that

It is just an in and out of jail issue. Walk in pay walk out.

Well their lives aren't over but JJ will forever be known as the LSU QB who got arrested for a bar fight a week before the start of the season. It's sucks that that will be his legacy at LSU and not his play on the field

I really hate that for those guys. Hard lesson to learn.

quote:Sad indeed, but their "lives" haven't been ruined, just possibly their football careers (whatever that may have entailed). They will have their day in court, hopefully things will work out for them, get serious about their education (if they ever were), and have a chance to make something of themselves. Hardly a ruined life.

You missed a zero.,,,
In most cases you only have to pay 10% of what the bond is set at.

They don't deserve prison. They deserve a misdeanor summons. They deserve to be suspended.

Yeah, its usually around 10%-15%. The whole bond thing is a crock of SHYTE, tho.
Years ago, some chick got mad at me and told the cops that I was a drug dealer ( untrue ) just to cause me trouble, so the cops came to my house and I was fine with letting them search my apartment. Well, they found a prescription in an unlabeled bottle and some creatine and decided that it was illegal drugs. Then, because I had my hunting rifles and shotguns in the closet and my pistol in my safe, they decided that it was a drug/gun crime, and proceeded to confiscate all of my guns ( even laughing and stating that they would make sure I didn't get my HK pistol back so they could keep it for themselves ) and hauled me to jail.
I ended up having to pay $1260 on $10,000 bond. The charges ended up being dropped, of course, because there was no crime. Then I had to pay a lawyer $600 to file a motion to get my guns back, and several of my nice rifle's stocks had their finish ruined by tons of black BRPD inventory tape. That was nearly $2000 that they took from me over absolutely NOTHING. I think that its absolutely ridiculous that they get away with stuff like that.
I have no faith whatsoever in the quality, intelligence, professionalism, or integrity of the BRPD.

Jefferson's life isn't over. When it's all said and done, I doubt he has trouble getting a job in Baton Rouge.
