First off I've been in the camp that says "just give him another year". That said, I am worried the damage has been done, and with all the national media coverage we are going to look like a bunch of damn fools if we don't hit a homerun hire. ie. Jimbo

So:

Jimbo or Bust - Upvote

Open to other options - Downvote

Oh, and Alleva is scum. I hope the boosters surprise the hell out of him and hand him a second check for his buyout right after Les'.

And yes, I know its not one check, its called hyperbole.

It's not Jimbo or bust but he would be my first choice.

My question is...why would Jimbo come here? Unless its for 6mil a year. He can stay in the ACC and play a pretty cake schedule every year and have job security for a long time. I just don't see it happening unless they back up the Brinks truck for him.

I see Aleva making what he perceives as a "genius" move. Tom Herman anyone?

That's part of the dilemma we are in and why I think we are making a huge mistake to just fire Les with no plan. And I agree, Alleva probably thinks he's being a slick willy, but is probably being a slimy weasel.

Alleva leaked that shite and should go down if we settle for some unknown or lackluster coach after firing Les.

We can't give him another year. We're passed that now with all of the drama of the last few days. It would not only kill this years recruiting class but next years as well. No kid is going to want to come to LSU this year knowing the head coach will be gone in a year. No kid is going to come to LSU next year not knowing who the coach is going to be in 2017. We have to let him go now and just hope we can hold on to what we have committed this class.

That's kind of the point of the "poll"

Everybody thinks we got him in the bag, but they're in for a huge disappointment.

Because hes lost control and the emergence of clemson and North Carolina . He's running and he's going to get paid. What would u do?
The question is why isFlorida state gift wrapping him to us?

I'd want Kelly first honestly. But he and Jimbo have to be the top two options right now. If we couldn't get either of them then I wouldn't get rid of Miles.

I think Jimbo is definitely their top choice, and if they let Miles go, they BETTER have a wink and a nod from their top choice to go that route.

If this goes into a coaching search situation I don't feel like it'll end up with a guy we feel great with. Florida, Texas,Tennessee, etc. Look at what has happened with other programs who have let their premier coaches go.

Agreed. And at this point I can only hope for the best. I have zero faith in Alleva though

What's funny? Care to be exact tough guy?

Why is FSU letting him go. Could it be they have identified an upgrade?
??
