I think they are going to explode next year. I believe Hunter's in for a breakout year. Took one year to fill out his frame, took another year to get acclimated to the field, and next year, he owns it.

Rasco, to me at least, seemed to get better as the year progressed. He's the one nobody seems to be talking about, but who could double his sack total next year. It takes some longer than others to fully develop, but I saw him coming around later in the season.

IMO though, better DT play (can't get much worse, can it) can free up these guys to let loose in the backfield. I hope first, but ultimately expect them to be really great next year.

Totally agree. Both became my 2 favorite defensive players this last year. Hoping they nail it to the wall this year.

I'm expecting big things from Hunter. If Rasco keeps up what he's doing then our D-line should be alright.

Well after Les told Hunter to put his arms up, he's unstoppable.

Those 3 will be as good as any. I love Hunter. Not sure if he will ever put it all together, but if he does he will be special. Im in on Hunter big time. Get his autogragh.

Hunter has played well since he arrived and has continued to get better. He will make himself a bunch of money with his play this year.

Hunter will be significantly better than Rasco, IMO.

While true, Rasco was solid the last half of the season. They will be a good tandem.

Still need the DT position to step up or DEs won't make much difference.

I've been thinking we need a dt to step up big time too. and no doubt we do. But if a guy like Hunter has an all-american season with 8 sacks out of the gate in our 1st 3 games that would be great! One of our de's starts demanding double teams every snap to let our young pups inside get single coverage and valuable experience would be the best we can ask for!!!

He may one day but he has not been better up to this point. It seems Rasco does not get his due. He had as good or better year at LDE as Mingo had at the position the previous year. I thought he played better than anyone else on the D-line this year, but you would never know by how he is downplayed on here. He will be All SEC and possibly All American next year.

For those DE to break out we have to have the DT and LB to be solid. As long as they can atleast hold their own, rasco and hunter will shine big time! All they need is time!
Same goes with the offense. If we are always playing with the lead, they will do great. But if offense struggles and we are down early in most games or it's a grind out then they may not be let loose as much.
I think next season will be a nerve racking but fun one to unfold!

I agree, Rasco had a very good year and did it with a nagging injury (shoulder). He is gonna go big next season.

I sure expect them to be a strength on D next year. Lewis Neal should also see playing time as pure speed edge pass rusher.

How weird is it that DT was our main weakness last year until the bowl game and our 2 starting juniors left for the nfl. So strange.
