This, it wasn't a good pass but Quinn had it. Db made nice play.

It wasn't a great pass, but it wasn't as terrible as people made it out to be. A QB is not going to be perfect on every pass, which is why you need a receiver who can get the tough catches. Landry made a lot of tough catches where Mett was no where near perfect on them. The DB made an incredible play on the ball, because Quinn would have had that one.

The kid sure does throw a pretty good ball. Puts lots of air under nearly every throw

thats not always a good thing. Its is down right terrifying in the short passing game.

The play calling in the second half seemed to suit Jennings much better.

As good as Mett was, with more experience than Jennings, couldn't throw a deep ball with touch to save his life his first year starting at LSU. Jennings did it twice. I think he'll be pretty good with experience.

Second half he wasn't floating the intermediate throws... he was putting them on a line. Good to see he adjusted, cause those short floaters were bad.

It was his first game and the coaches were unsure whether to give him the keys to the offense. There is no doubt he has the arm strength (deep bombs and the hash-to-hash pass to Diarse TD). He just needs to settle down and make smart decisions. 3 of those incompletions were botched screens, 2 Drops from Quinn (one in the endzone which was well defended and one in a deep post). I'm sure later on in the season the coaches will be comfortable with Jennings. I would like to see more slants, curls and out routes though.

The screen passes were fugly. That pitch to Fournette should've been caught. Totally the kid's fault. He was looking up filed and didn't look the ball in.

Jennings looked better than Sims, Stoudt, and JJ Barret, just to name a few first time starters from Saturday

No he didn't he was horrible.. He threw a few nice passes and got lucky the WR was there for the catch..................

If he can get a clean pocket like Kenny Hill does, with our WRs, he'll pick defenses apart.

What??? No he won't..... You are just being stupid here.

I think there are certain things he needs to work on (Screen passes)
and certain things i think we should just drop if jennings is the QB going forward.

I don't think he is an option QB. Watching him play the read option he isn't making the read very well, and then that last speed option with fournette he tossed back with 3 people in the backfield around the trailing man.

So the bad screen passes are what you guys are gonna take from his performance? He threw a perfect pass on the run right to Dural for 80 yards and then another for 44 yards with a defender drilling him in the chest and you guys are pissed about the screens?

Being able to throw a good screen is going to be very important for us this season

...and it's probably the easiest fix.

Most of his throws down the field were absolutely on point and threw the ball where the receiver was in stride and/or where they could only catch it.

When Miles/Cameron started to trust him more with more medium and longer routes along with good protection, the kid showed glimpses of what I think he's capable of doing.

He's not going to be a star,

Hes 3-0 so far. I count the Arkansas game exhaust he's the one that led the last come from behind, 99 yard drive.

Who says he can't be a star?

He definitely got better as the game progressed. I really like AJ. I like the way he handles his business. It could be a special year if all the talented elements on the team jell together and AJ can continue to improve.
