Brandon Harris. Like Jennings, he's a throw first dual threat. He's already recruiting for us and committed last week.
ah, yes, saw that. Sounds like a stud. So, the SEC-caliber guys this time next year would be....

Jennings (true SO)
Rivers (RS-JR)
Rettig (RS-FR)
B.Harris (true FR)

That's pretty good depth. Best LSU has had in a while at QB. Pretty easy to expect Rivers to be 3rd or 4th string his Senior year. But, things never go to plan....

Wasn't Lee injured late in the '08?

Had to go back and look that one up. He did get banged up in the regular season it looks like, but I think JJ played the Chick fil a Bowl that season because they thought he was better, not because of injury to Jlee.

Jennings just gives me the vibe that he'll be similar to Russell Wilson at NCSU/Wisconsin. Especially after watching his HS footage & the spring game.

GREAT comparison IMO.

A little slimmer and maybe faster, but similar athleticism, intelligence, and accuracy.

I always compare him to Brees at Purdue but get blasted. He's a little shorter, not the strongest arm in the world, but deadly accurate, super athletic, great vision, and smart as all get out. Similar to Russell Wilson as well.

FYI everyone, comparing him to someone that is excelling in the NFL doesn't mean we are saying he will for sure be that good, it just helps people that haven't seen him play to get a feel for his style and skillset.

This is good news though. Jennings is the man after mett so why not get him all the reps he can.

I said a long time ago Rivers will never take a meaningful snap unless there is an injury

I remember a couple "Rivers will be the guy THIS season" that was cute

I also remember the reasons
1) hes tall
2) His brother is Phillip
3) Cam was an NFL coordinator

It makes too much sense!!111

Maybe he should stay here, if he wants to.

People definitely forget how mobile Brees was at Westlake HS & Purdue.

This is why I'm careful with what I say about AJ.

is Jennings really shorter than Brees? I think Brees is 6'0" at the most.

Id love that but I dont totally agree.

Jennings is better in the program. Wilson is just a winner. He does everything well nothing great and is just a winner.

only time will tell with Jennings

I meant shorter than average QB like Brees. I think Brees is actually 5'10", I've met him a couple times and I was much taller (6'2"). Jennings is around 5'11"/6'0".

In cleats on concrete

ETA:

and I'm his biggest fan

He has the vision, presence, mobility, and accuracy to more than make up for it.

Remember how people always knocked Brees because he was too short?
