The game had such a wild ending (It’s a miracle in Baton Rouge!!) this play gets forgotten. When JJ ran right up the got for 83 yards I thought for sure we were going to steam roll them.

The stadium was rowdy and this got us going.

That game still feels like a loss with another Miles clock management.

We kicked a field goal. JJ started the game 3/10 30 yards and 2 picks. JL went something like 20/30 200 yards and an int. We outshined them like 450-200 but were -3 in turnovers.

That was the game that put me forever in the Les needed to go camp. Dude held on for 6 more years. Almost pulled a miracle season out in 2011 falling one game short.

I was there. Some girl in the student section near me got drilled in the head with a half full Dasani after that last play. Definite concussion.

Classic Les.

CSB follows.

Lived in Newnan Georgia at the time and watched the fourth quarter in the kitchen as I was prepping for supper. Watched the shitastic ending and accepted it - grabbed the remote and turned it off as Tennessee was celebrating.

Went to TD to see the melt about 20 minutes later and was shocked to see the "LSU Beats Tennessee" lead (or something to that effect). I enjoyed the reprieve and went about my evening.

The next morning, I prepped breakfast for our five-year-old and set him up on the small table in the kitchen - then turned on the TV to queue up some Special Agent Oso, which was his thing at the time.

The small kitchen TV had a quirk, in that it displayed the image that was on the screen when it was last turned off for 2-3 seconds before syncing with DirectTV. I beheld Derek Dooley in full celebration being hoisted up by #10, with a look of pure joy and elation on his face.

That was his high water mark as a coach, and my shitty TV made it last for 12 hours or so. Shame.

Life long LSU fan, but had never been to a game living out of state. Dad (LSU Alumni) took me to that game to sell me on LSU. Disbelief kept us in the stands, only to become elation! Craziest 5 mins ever!

I am so glad that we LSU fans don't have to put up with the bs poor clock management by Les miles anymore. That was just 1 of several occurrences displaying his total lack of situational awareness and game management. I don't miss that clown at all. Wow.

That was me for the season opening game that year. I went to Atlanta for the UNC game and UNC had like half their team out with suspensions.

We go up 30-10 at half...looks pretty easy. Jefferson is having a nice game, Peterson and Shep had long TD scores.

Then we do jack shite in the second half. Ridley fumbled twice trying to run out the clock. UNC then has a chance to win on the last 3 plays of the game.

LSU's second half drive chart:
3 plays - 33 yards- fumble lost by Ridley
3 plays - 8 yards - punt
3 plays - 1 yard - punt
12 plays - 21 yards - punt
4 plays - 3 yards - punt
3 plays - 12 yards - fumble lost by Ridley

My CSB:

I was a server and watched the whole game as I prolly was a shitty waiter. Saw the “ending”. My manager said we ran out of fries so ordered me to pick up some from the Albertsons down the road. Got in my car and didn’t have gas so I filled up at the gas stations listening to what I thought was the post game. Was very confused lmao

I was there too and I guess fortunately I was over served at the GA Dome so the second half was a blur. But honestly those 2009 and 2010 teams brought plenty of excruciating struggle wins (and losses) so it’s hard to pick just one

One of the best things that came from that game was a kid about 10 or 12 years old posted a reaction video on youtube. I felt bad for the kid but it was hilarious. He ranted "I hate Les Miles, I hate LSU!" His parents must have taken the video down though because I haven't been able to find it since like a week after.

That UT game was a quintessential Les Miles team playing down to its opponent. Tennessee was just awful, and LSU should have won that game going away IN THE FIRST HALF.

Instead, we got what we got.
