He is not going to jail for the charges pending... he is going to jail for violating his bond from his last arrest.

Which is what I meant. He will be allowed to bond out again at a higher level as he should.

Should have never changed lawyers mid-stream. The two players that remained with Fisher (Jarvis Landry and Chris Davenport) had no charges brought against them and their names were cleared.

So at what point does his stupidity actually carry a consequence?

Let him sit in jail. He should know better than to be messing with drugs after the bar fight fiasco.

What crime has he been convicted of? Remember these are misdemeanor charges.

Yep! That's the way the justice system works. When you are on probation you need to be EXTRA careful or the judicial system treats you like a repeat offender and hardened criminal. Keep that in mind the next time one of you gets a DUI or something similar and accepts plea bargain down to probation for 12 months. This is a free public service announcement - a fringe benefit for being a Rantard. fyi

Oh, you have to be convicted of something to be held til trial now? Guess I missed that law.

I can tell you for sure he made a deal to stay out of trouble and didn't, so there's that.

Admittedly, I was one of JJ's biggest haters as a contributer to the football team, but I really feel sorry for the guy now. He might not make the best decisions and I'm not saying I disagree completely with how the law has handled him in the last 1-2 years, but it sure seems like he has a target on his back and isn't the criminal we make him out to be.

They prob werent sellung anything. Its not absurd to think a pot smoker has a scake to make sure their not getting ripped off. Like ive said before, the distribution charges are on bryant, yet everyone on here is claiming jirdan was selling pot. How can he be selling it if he came after everyone else and the majority of it was in bryants bag. And also when you buy good shite from a local in br, it usually comes pre weighed out in gram bags. 10 bags= 10 grams or less.

Get the frick out with this nonsense. Perhaps if he hadn't been trying to get through the get he was not supposed to getting through, and was not involved with drugs like he was not supposed to do, or last summer not get in a bar fight when you know you're the face of the preseason #1 team in the nation....

You're right though, they're just out to get him.

Despite this, it's premature to refer to JJ as a serial offender.
Unless you include his conduct between the white lines on Saturdays...

Lets just clog up our jails with hardened criminals accused of simple battery and then over a year later, simple possession of pot.

I guess in your mind simple possession of pot and rape are the same.. the crime is absolutely relevant when determining bond or lack there of.

Exaggerate much? I haven't seen that since a few hours after the news broke and the details were still unknown.

this is so wrong it's funny. The breakdown into smaller bags is what gets you intent to distribute.

Most dealers try to avoid those intent to distribute charges with small amounts and keep them in larger singular bags, weighing them out for sales.

Watch Drugs Inc. on Nat geo. It's a really informative show.

He agreed to the terms, then willfully violated them. I have zero sympathy, and obviously there is enough room for him at our particular jail.

Yea, that's exactly what I said.

So are agreements made for bond in lieu of jail time for the first misdemeanor. Violate that, and you deserve jail time. He should be in jail because he has clearly demonstrated he will not honor any agreement he makes regarding his behavior.

I have never known anyone in BR to buy or sell by the gram.
