Well was just a thought by playing QB for the past few years would help him with knowing the jobs of each reciever and should help with learning the position. Playing QB my self in college allows me to know that for sure.and thats all i have to say on this issue if anyone older than 18 wants to give their two cents than i will listen.

Born in 1940? Holy crap you are older than I am. This must be another senior moment. Relax. We all have them. Your sanity will soon return.

im guessing its probaly too late at this stage, to have him learn a new position!! come man, get back on your medicine... you know you cant think straight if you get off it!!! no way that could happen,, look at how incredible of an athlete R Sheppard is and how he is still adjusting to WR... take your pill and get some rest bro!

this is really dumb. We have Boone, Wright, OBJ, Shep, and Randle. Why we we move a senior two year starting QB to WR?

Guess spending almost a decade overseas fighting for my freedom made you a football genius. But remember, football overseas is called soccer here and there is another board for that.

But to put your thought down even more, you can't exactly learn how to become a receiver overnight. It's about more than catching the ball and being an athlete. It's about learning how to get separation, route running, and especially knowledge of the playbook (something he may have trouble with since he only ever looked at one receiver). I also believe he wouldn't be one of the best considering the 8-9 other recievers who would be better than him already on the roster.

Just because he is on the team doesn't mean he has to play.

exactly. It is rediculous to expect him to switch to WR at this point in his career. He will be playing QB. He needs to get as many reps as possible against Kentucky. Remember he hasn't practiced in 5 weeks and we have the meat of our SEC schedule in front of us, specifically Florida next week and Alabama down the road. He needs to get up to speed as quickley as possible.

You sure do know a lot about football. Hopefully Les Miles knows as much as you and puts Jefferson at receiver. I think he would be awesome. I mean he is tall, fast, and has all 10 fingers. What could go wrong?

To be fair, JJ would have made an excellent TE prospect if he would have been moved a few years back. But it just a little more than unreasonable to ask that of him this late in his career. Sad to say, but this is JJ's last hurrah in football.

I'd hope Miles doesn't play JJ at all unless he has a reason to.I'll trust him to make that decision, but as an ignorant fan enjoying LSU offense for the first time in four years I don't see a need at this point in the season.

Well prepare to be dissapointed... But fear not, the world will not end when he enters the game and our team will not completely dissolve

We will be a slightly deeper #1 team in the nation than we were before

but we will be a lot deeper at the most important position on the team, which is QB. Move him to WR or TE is just flat out nuts. Not to knock the OP or anything as he was in Afganistan combat zone hell. Something most you guys couldn't even imagine. It's hard to re-adjust to this petty civilian BS once you've been deep in the shite.
