quote:IMO, it remains to be seen. The charges are pretty serious and it could be very difficult to reinstate these guys, even if legal issues are cleared up. There is still the problem of character, maturity, decision-making, and following basic team rules to consider. What impact on the rest of the team would there be if these guys were slapped on the wrist and eased back into the line-up?
Legit question, do you guys think that they need to be found guilty to sit, or just charged with the crime? Basically, do you think Les will allow them back to play before the legal issues are cleared up.

Wow that was swift.

I take it this means that Davenport and Landry aren't suspended?
Not necessarily. They might each be suspended for a set amount of time, i.e. 1 game. But I hope not. We could certainly use Landry with Shelp being out. At the very least, he provides much needed depth at the WR position.

The conduct is absolutely unacceptable for any player, let alone for a team "leader".
The players got the benefit of the doubt which is why this took so long. Most situations, the cops would get the complaint, show up and book them.

They will sit until the legal matters are cleared up. If found guilty they are obviously off the team as they would have to serve jail time (assuming they don't get reduced charges) and if found innocent they will have to work their way back on to the team.

If they plead down, I'd imagine Miles will suspend them for around 4 games. If they want to fight (pun intended) the charges, Miles has no choice but to keep them off of the team until they are either cleared or found guilty.

The only way they'll play again is if they're cleared of the charges. If they're convicted, that's a felony and they're kicked off the team.
If they're convicted, getting kicked off of the team is the least of their worries.
I ask this because I fully expect that they won't be convicted of 2nd degree battery. I also believe that the marine story is full of s*&#.
