Jayden Daniels limits the play calling

I know Denbrock called a bad game especially around the goal line in the first half, but everyone seems to think that his system as a whole is terrible. Last year when we had Nussmeier in the game, the passing offense looked much more opened up, more passes over the middle, timing routes were a thing of beauty. The receivers were also "conveniently" open when Nussmeier was at qb. The ball was pushed downfield (for better or for worse). To me, it seems like Daniels just has limitations which makes the offense look bland. Is Nussmeier the answer at qb? I'm not sure, but it seems to me like Daniels puts a limit on how good this offense can be. Yes there were other issues like the wr drops and the defense, but qb is where an issue is too.

I agree. Nuss more pro style helps the OL too. Can run play action, keeps all the defenders out of the box. Plus 2 TE sets.

he's pushing 50 starts in college, if he hasn't gotten it yet he's not going to, baw has plateaued and is not a good all around qb

first drive, we got down the field. get to the 5

and the OL gets pushed around for 4 straight plays.

that’s not on Daniels.

as much as you want it to be, that’s not on Daniels.

the Ol got whooped all game.

The people saying Nussmeier would have been sacked more really don’t have a clue. The last time we got to see both play was against UGA, each for a half of football, and Daniels was sacked more. People also forget Daniels had negative yards rushing in that game

JD just isn’t an elite QB. Not even close. He clearly gets flustered and isn’t a quick reader. He’s the primary problem and will hold the team back until he’s removed.

He also doesn’t seem bothered when they’re losing. I’m not sure he honestly cares. Majority time when he makes a bad play he’s got that little grin like oh well… when he actually makes a play he acts like he won a superbowl. I guess NIL money takes care of the pain.

It is reading defense matchup and route anticipation, i.e. throwing your receiver open. JD cannot do that. He is reactive so he frequently holds on the ball for too long and the throw is late. This is obvious from last season and for some reason we were led to believe JD suddenly improves.

We didn't lose because of Daniel's last night.

Receivers dropped balls, the defense was atrocious, special teams sucks again. There are numerous things to complain about and Daniel's is far down on the list.
