If he keeps getting better and starts lighting it up, I don’t think it’s that far fetched. He was a highlight machine his freshman year. Plus I bet $10 on it before the season.

I mean, he’s got the legs and arm, just needs some evolution of reads and some other things. He’s probably a lot closer to being in the running talent-wise than many other top QBs.

If he stayed for his senior year and we improved our offensive line he would be in talks next year. He has the athletic ability to make the “heisman moment” plays.

I keep getting this nauseating thought that we might actually have a damn good QB and he is going to be wasted on a rebuild year. Still a long season, who knows what will happen. Kinda starting to hope he is here for 2 years like Joey B but I’m not holding my breath on the thought.
