Nearly 50 years of watching tiger football and he is in my top 3 all time. He is the complete package.

Is it weird that made me cry? The last couple of paragraphs got me!

They should have Jarvis read this over highlight videos and show it to all Louisiana recruits

Jarvis Landry is a top 5 LSU receiver all time. Jarvis has incredible speed, hands like glue and I remember watching him stick returners when he was a freshman on special teams. Home grown phenom!

I am tolally appreciative of Miles, he was a great representive of LSU. He was a victim of not keeping up with the game, being to loyal to a friend & being hardheaded.
Good man.

God I love me some " Juice ". Thank you Jarvis and I'm so glad you are with my Miami Dolphins. If we could get a couple-a more Tigers in Miami to improve the defense.
GEAUX TIGERS!
GEAUX TIGERS!

He was a special one for sure.
I've always looked for the guy that fits that spirit of the team over the years. For me, it is guys like Kevin Faulk, Josh Reed, Michael Clayton, Peterson, Mathieu, and Jarvis.
Guice has that fire and intensity combined with unreal talent that all those guys had to make him the next great leader for the Tigers
I agree with all of that whole heartedly.
From the hits he laid on kickoffs, the big 3rd down catches he always made, to the circus catches he made, he easily is one of my favorite tigers of all time.
Jarvis and Clayton would have been awesome to see play together, especially on kickoffs.

So much greatness in who he is and what he stands for.
Hope those guys in position to play for LSU understand how much responsibility comes with it, not just to win but to represent the state that from which you come from.
As well as those clowns running around pretending to be "fans" of schools that are the competition. No one respects you for the hat or shirt you bought, shite anyone can buy that.
Respecting your state means more in Louisiana.

History will be very kind to Coach Miles. Nothing but class.

I hope to see another LSU receiver as good as Josh Reed.

Not sure when it will dawn on many how lucky we were to have Miles as our coach for as long as we did.
He kept us competitive, relevant, and CLEAN in the toughest division of all of football for years while trying to battle the most unfortunate circumstance any coach could face, a dynasty in his division built by the man he replaced. And only an unfair Rematch tilted the scales against him and threw him into a hole he could never really dig out of.
Yes things had trended down and it was time for a change, but the way it went down, and specifically the man who pulled the trigger on him isn't qualified to shine Miles' fricking shoes in Tiger Stadium.
I have no idea how all this will play out, but he deserved better than the low level henchman he got to show him the door.
The sooner Alleva is gone, this university and all programs associated with it will be much better off.
Dear God
Post of the year.

I didn’t start my freshman year. I played mostly special teams,
That's where he first caught my eye. Seeing a freshman named "Landry" absolutely level kick returners and saying "dam!"

Somebody needs to post the highlight gifs… especially the two kill shots on ST vs auburn and the slobberknocker block vs MSU

Everyone needs to share and send Landry's article to everyone they know that grew up in Louisiana. It's such an amazing write up.

Nice read. I've been a fan of his since his recruitment stages to him laying the lumber on special teams his freshman year to what he's doing today. Im glad my judgement came through with him vs Odell. Character goes a long way.

Does anybody have his special teams and blocking? His Lesmiles.net video only has one of his special teams plays, and no blocking.
