What, exactly, is that something?

The scramble make a play happenness / find an open man, that is Farve esk style. Something about the way he moves and throws seem similar. Especially, the one were he throws it across his body into the endzone.

Herm Edwards said it"you play to win the game" and we need a qb to make all the throws and help us score,Lee is the guy.Maybe even Hatch too. Both are good

Herm is also 52-60 but I do hear your point.

I think we see alot of both for the first two gaimes, then quite a bit of Hatch no matter what happens.

I also do not think the coaches have all together decided it is one of those two. JJ is coming to town with a tremendous upside.

I agree a little. That rollout pass was awesome.

There is a good article on Crowton's preparation of the QBs in the Shreveport Times this morning.

Based on the Youtube clips, I would say Hatch is the man. But what the coaches don't know and what Crowton points out is - how will the three QBs handle the live rounds? Will they throw into triple coverage? Will they fumble? Will they put too much air under the pass where it becomes a jump ball situation?

We will likely not know that answer until the 3rd game of the season, but I suspect Hatch will be named the starter for the App State game.

I've been singing that tune for months. People keep talking about the QBs. Screw that. We've got a lot more talent surrounding the QBs to take the load off of them than we do the corners.

We can get burned a lot worse at the CB position than we can the QB position IMHO. Les said the other day that Jai Eugene played well in the scrimmage. I sure hope so, because he sure hasn't shown me a thing in the spot duty that he's played so far. Hawkins I'm not so worried about if he's on the other side. He showed some flashes last season in spot duty. We'll see.

But the fact that almost all of the highlights entailed green jerseys, and there were so few highlights that most had to be replayed in slow motion to lengthen the "highlight video," just spotlights how little experience we'll have at this position.

Does that indicate a strong defense or weak offense? How many top quarterbacks looked better vs our defense last year when we were healthy?
Just like last year at this time, Miles and Crowton seem to have confidence in our quarterbacks. Byrd and Lafell seem confident as well

Though i am very concerned about the QB position, I will say this about Hatch.

While his armstrength is certainly no better than Flynn/Mauck (not much worse, either), he is actually more athletic running the ball than both of them. For a "harvard" white boy, he can flat out but and move. He also throws well on the run.

He may not be the answer for the next few seasons, but there is no doubt he CAN get it done. We will be seeing him running the ball ALOT this year IMO, especially in the option game with Keiland, Trindon, and RM.
