@BhamBarons: Jared Mitchell reaches on an infield single and is now 2-for-2. In 36 games with the Barons he's hitting .290 with 8 HR, 28 runs and 18 RBI.

What are the chances he gets called up soon? Always loved watching him play.

very slim.. he still struggles and was horrible in AAA.. I'd be surprised if he ever made it to the show

Dang that sucks. I haven't really kept up with him since he left but he was always a favorite of mine.

He's another patented White Sox prospect with "5 tool" potential. They can run, throw, defend...they hit for power (when they hit it).
The one thing they can't do is square up and hit the ball.
The farm is replete with these guys.

BJ Upton strikes out 30%+ of the time and bats .220 consistently, but manages to hold down a gig in the show..

No love for Jared?

Yeah, in the Show. But to get there he hit .290 and struck out 22% in AAA. It's a little different.

Good for him but he is still a year away... he needs to put up solid numbers in Triple A this year to get a invite to spring training and a possibly injury replacement/call up next year.
