hoping he starts out in Birmingham this year...he needs a good year at the plate to keep the "bust" tag off of him

is that his old football number ?? 82 seems weird for a baseball player

Are his ears as tiny as they look in that picture?

Jared played for the Kannapolis Intimidators near Charlotte NC in his first Minor League stint. The Charlotte area LSU alumni group would get together for the games.....
Not to watch baseball, but to yell, loud as hell when Jared was up to bat. We yelled,
LSU....LSU....LSU
After he hit a double, he later, scored, he waved at the LSU fans cheering for him. His minor league coach came out and shook his hand when he came in. We kept yelling LSU and he popped out of the duggout and waved to the LSU fans again.
It makes you wonder how alone minor league players feel when they are 15+ hours from home, trying to make it. The Charlotte LSU Alumni Chapter wanted him to feel at home, and know that LSU is bigger than just Baton Rouge....though we all wish we were there on Saturdays.

That sounds awesome. I definitely would have gone and joined in if I was in the area.
