I gotta say..

That was a Powerful and GREAT piece on JR.

I know its a longshot. But damn I hope a team takes a chacne on him.

When he was discussing his dead uncles I nearly was moved to

Even if he never plays in the NFL again I hope he finds peace in his life.

there's a difference between HS Hester getting that tat and post LSU JRock wearing the Bama gear.
yeah Hester's tat is on him for life (unless removed with multiple laser treatments). Jamarcus can just change his shirt. Which one is worse again?

Not a bash against him, but I can't wait to hear how someone can reason that he could pass blame?

His head coach was Lane Kiffin and the owner/GM of the franchise was Al Davis... need I say more?

67.8% completion for 9.1 YPA...in the SEC in a pro-style offense. Easily the best QB season in LSU history.

thanks for posting. he'll get his shot if he keeps working. if you've been following his training videos and see where he was to where he is in a short amount of time its pretty impressive. a focused jamarcus is an asset. period.

the mass media conspiracy theorist in me says he'll get a shot this season simply because ESPN did this story. every major league in sports (nba, mlb, nfl, etc) want eyes on the television and butts in seats. the hard core fan will watch no matter what, the fringe fans that maybe sometime watch will watch because of an interesting story and that's jamarcus - and that interest could be defined as someone that wants to point and laugh or scoff at his attempt to someone who wants to see a comeback. we love to see the rich and powerful fall and we love a good comeback.

JR was by far the best LSU QB in 20 years

Dude has had some tough breaks in the last 7-8 years.

Many we're of his own doing

FTR, he said "he went to LSU and fell in love with it" in the video. Is that, combined with his obliteration of Bama and awesome 2006 season, not enough for you guys?

It's sad.

Had he prepared properly and worked on his accuracy while at LSU, maybe we would have won a national championship while he was our QB. If he didn't prepare well in the NFL, what would make anyone think he prepared well at LSU, albeit he did give 100% on the field.

Jimbo always said he worked extremely hard at LSU. He led the BCS in accuracy his last season at LSU

I could not care less about the Bama shirts. he's from there and probably grew up a fan. He chose LSU over his home team.

I hope he makes it back simply because he seems genuine in his desire and that he has truly learned from his mistakes.

I don't see the hate for this guy. He made mistakes and is trying to pick himself up from them.

If you lived you life under a microscope like pros do then how many mistakes in your life could we bash about you?

Bash away at the ones that never learn or never even try again. Ryan Leaf comes to mind but bashing someone trying to pick themselves back up shows your lack of character or jealousy or perhaps both.

If he shows down the road this was a ruse then so be it but for the time his effort should be supported.

I didn't know all that information about his closet uncle dying and then another family member dying. It would be nice if our fanbase had some empathy for JR in that type of situation.

Pretty much everybody is irrational on here...including me, but to not try and put yourself in that guy's shoes makes you an idiot...educate yourself and think before you pass judgment...look in the mirror and then talk shite about a 20-year-old kid who came from country arse Alabama who gets drafted #1 and moves to LA...

Question for y'all on here...who has moved to another state? or moved outside of your comfort zone?

Then multiply that by $100 Million Dollars and think how you would act at 20-years-old.
