I found something interesting while reading an article on ESPN about the Ward/Green boxing fight tonight on Showtime. Check out the last sentence.
The Super Six was designed by premium cable network Showtime to feature six of the best 168-pounders in the world, with each guaranteed three fights and earning points based on their outcome. The four participants with the most points would advance to seeded semifinals, with a championship bout scheduled for next year.
The fans in Oakland liked almost everything they saw in the fight, except for an appearance by former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell. The fans booed Russell as he walked to his seat in the eighth round, still upset over three failed years as Raiders quarterback that ended with his release last month.
Russell, wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide hat and jacket, was booed again loudly as he left the arena after the fight.

The way he's treated and looked upon considering what he did for LSU, I can easily see why he'd not be the biggest LSU fan.

always supported him but if that true, he's dead to me.

Numerous LSU fans celebrate any failure by the guy not surprising he wouldn't show LSU any love.

He probably doesn't care.
LSU is probably dead to him from the way our often pathetic fanbase treated this guy.

I'm sorry, maybe I am forgetful but what did LSU do that made him mad? Or what did the fans do? The guy was great for LSU.

I'm sure it was more Bama Boy shite and not Crimson Tide stuff

LSU fans treated him just fine. Truth is, JR had some pos relatibes who took to the internet from day one, calling out anybody who would dare ho criticize Russell. Ray Ray and another uncle, who went by the name alboo, were on Tigerbait all the time talking about "how badly JR was being treated", and oftentimes trying to bring race into the equation.
At least one of them posted here. Went by the name Striped menace. They sh kept their sorry asses off of LSU sites, since they couldn't handle ANY criticism of their nephew.
JR wasn't treated any differently from any other QB. It was just those pathetic relatives stirring up shite. If they were alive today, they would be blaming Oakland 100% for JR's failure there. They're the ones who treated JR wrongly, bc he needed discipline instead of excuses.

Personally I think the whole "Bama Boy" stuff is crap. That's where the kid's from, Alabama. Just like me here in Okieville. I'm from La. and I let everybody know it. I don't think he meant any disrespect or disloyalty to LSU when he wore that.
Now if he's going around wearing tide gear, that's another thing entirely.

I think most are missing the obvious here.
Would you really want him wearing purple and gold?
The man's love of the game of football ranks right up there with his love of dieting.
He did as much for LSU as LSU did for him. I'm not surprised things have turned out this way for him, but it still disappoints.
I really wish they would just leave him alone at this point, but they're treating him like a bank robber, and justly so.
