The only thing I get out of that is that Les is anything but penitent.

You're either really dumb, terrible in interviews or have a shitty degree. I'm doing quite well with mine. Same can be said for my wife. Sorry you suck at life.

Orrrr, or, I graduated in 2008 just as the job market and national economy went to total shite.

My life is fine, but thanks for your concern. Either way my point was that in this day and age a college degree isn't exactly fair compensation compared to the revenue these players are bringing in, or the potential income they're forfeiting by staying in school ... but that's a well worn argument that we don't need to rehash in this thread.

A college degree in and of itself isn't worth much, monetarily speaking. Anybody in their mid to late 20s can tell you that. And it's especially not worth much compared to an NFL salary.

A degree will get you a teaching job all over the world right now...and you could get a degree in life at the same time...but if all one wants to do is cry, the hell with you!

I graduated into the job market as the economy was crashing too.

Go get a job. If you can't get one, you're dumb, bad at interviews, or not trying. My buddy is a gender studies major and got a 40k/year job, you have no excuse regardless of how poor your degree is.

I have a job, love my job, my job is great.

Doesn't change the fact that a college degree doesn't come close to fair compensation for college athletes, or that 4 year college degrees have become increasingly devalued.

I'm sure Jalen Mills will read this, and will be happy to see that your buddy is pulling in 40k and maybe now will be willing to forfeit those potential millions. Thanks for opening his and my eyes.

Got my degree in PETE in 09 and I would definitely disagree with you. I could have never had the great job I have without my LSU degree.

By his statement, it is easy to see an education is worth nothing to him. It's all about the money. He should go.
