The Eagles and Mills agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $2.58 million, including $76,856 signing bonus. The contract details were reported by Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post. Philadelphia drafted Mills with their first of three seventh-round picks in last weekend's NFL Draft. Mills had been previously pegged going as high as the third-round by some draft analysts.

“I was happy that I did get picked up by this team," Mills said earlier this week in an interview on ESPN104.5. "They bring a lot of energy and that’s the type of people I want to play for. "Whether I'm playing safety, nickel or cornerback, Philadelphia does a great job of putting defensive backs on the field that are going to make plays. Am I saying I'm going to go in and play right away, of course not, it's the NFL and you have to earn your job."
Always gave it his all, and was a true leader on the field!! Surprised he dropped as far as he did! Congrats Jalen!!

Good for mills he's a good player. Not sure who his dc will be but I think he has a chance to make it he's a versatile player and I think nfl coaches will like that about him.

This is the main reason kids leave early for the draft. A 7th round pick still makes really good money.

I think Jalen has a quiet, solid NFL career much like Ron Brooks.

Way to choose the very worst scenario for his future. LSU fans are the best!

exactly right. The NFL rookie minimum is about $500k, so 4 years at that amount plus the signing bonus equals his total contract.

Now he must make the 53 man roster to get that salary. If not, he keeps the signing bonus but that's it.
