I don't remember him ever actually being on LSU's roster.

He is listed on the LSU roster for 05-06 but I'm not sure. I know he didn't play.

LINK

As was said, he didn't make it past November.

I know the 8 players were the only ones to play at least 2 minutes per game.

Does he have to sit out? I'm assuming he does. Can't think of an exception that would be made for him.

He could probably be a factor for a Mississippi SWAC team, or maybe Southern or SLU if he wants to stay in or close to BR.

Everyone remembers the Final Four team, but they were not a deep group of players.

I think the take-away should be, you need 13 players to try to get the right 8-9 to form a good rotation. You'll always have a couple who don't pan out, somebody will get hurt, etc.

There's margin for error. A lot of Brady's teams, Trent's teams and this year's team had none.

The main players were anyone who played at least 2 min/gm.

That being said, Voogd played 442 minutes that season. He will always be one of my favorite players that isn't a star. I loved that chump.

I'm sure Banks would take him, but pt will be hard to come by.

Does Courtney have a degree after this semester so he can be eligible immediately at any DI program or will he be looking at DII programs?

It's not like the Jags are terrible, right?

My question is, what is the outlook on bigs for the 2014-15 season? That's the year I'm assuming Courtney would play after sitting out this year.

The other question is, where is Southern in terms of scholarships to give?

Dale's 2 Final 4 teams had similar rotations to. None of our 3 most recent Final Four teams were deep. Nore was the Elite 8 squad in '87.

The 1980 team that went to the Elite 8 may have been the deepest of our successful tournament teams.

Next year's starting squad likely to be 3 juniors and 2 seniors, with some talented youngsters getting serious PT. Looks promising.

Other players:
Tack Minor
David Fleshman
Chris Johnson
Alex Farrer
Kentrell Gransberry

There were only 8 players who really played. Magnum Rolle never really panned out. Lazare was a role player at best. Voogd was out of place completely. The others didn't get much of a chance, but were not SEC caliber players.

Chris Johnson was only a freshman. He started his junior year in 2009 but he didn't play much till then.

The 2006 Final Four run was basically pulled off by 5 players. 5 star players who were great, but 5 players nonetheless.

Wasn't Tack Minor kicked out of school prior to the season starting?

I really hate to see Jalen Go Ive known him since he was in the 8th grade and Ive been very tough on him but I saw him become one the leaders on the team and I was proud to see him take on that role, he is one of Dre's better friends and one of the main reason Dre decided to attend LSU. No matter what he did or didnt do on the court he was a positive young man and I hate to see him leave but I wish him the best
