You are the last poster on 15 consecutive threads.... and maybe more before I came and noticed. That's gotta be some kind of a record on here. Congrats, man. Congrats.

It's funny that a freshman is having great success and the Rant takes that as evidence that CPM is mishandling him.

If CPM had started Fraley earlier in the year, as Rantards demanded, he might be a .150 basket case right now. BTW, Fraley almost cost us the game last night when he gave up that insurance run with that high school misplay of the ball in left. CPM knows wtf he's doing.

I guess this makes sense.
K Rob has gotten plenty of playing time, and has the low average and some costly errors of his own in the field to show for it.

So why didn't CPM protect K Rob from this?

Good question. Defense? KRob has made numerous plays that Hale would not have gotten a glove on - way more than his errors. His BA sucks, but he has a lot of productive ABs. Is playing KRob a good move? Sitting Fraley? Playing Stevenson last year? There's a lot more to these decisions than fielding and hitting percentages. What's the maturity level of the player? Is he working hard in practice? Is he good to go against LHP but not RHP? Can't hit a curve so you protect him from some pitchers? My point is that CPM knows baseball better than anyone on this board, and he knows all of these intangibles that we don't know. Even after all that it ends up as hunches. And as CPM says, if you get the hunches right often enough you get to coach a little longer. I'll add that if you don't, you end up on Tigerdroppings with me.

That's not true. His errors have been much more costly than his "good" plays.

When it was warranted and he had productive outs. No. Yes. Maturity? So Bregman shouldn't be starting right? Fraley is one of the hardest workers. His avg. vs LHP is in the top 9 on the team while his avg vs. right is one of the best by far. Can't hit curve? This isn't little league.

Debatable

He's not the only one who's at practice and can talk to these guys. It's not like a head coach has some special knowledge or insight into everything

So sorry ell he hits .190 and weighs 160 and is obviously your fantasy or hero not sure which one. Please please don't say he's fast or he can field. 3 stolen bases second to worst fielding percentage on team.

He has three stolen bases because he hasn't started every game and only has about 20 hits this season without too many walks.

I still think he dshouldn't play over Moore or fraley.

Lineup should be like last night's moving forward. It just flowed well and looked good.

Agree that's my point though why is a kid hitting sub. 200 starting on an LSU baseball team. No matter if he's fast or supposedly can field good but cant. Hell I've even read cause he's mature. The kid is not ready for D1 baseball period but for some reason people love this kid and he may turn it around next year. But right now this year in this line up he shouldn't be starting.

I put my money on ell_13. He has lots more championship rings than CPM has.
