Jake Crain said Jayden Daniels could become a better version of Nick Marshall

He was on Culotta yesterday and he said if Daniels can improve on his passing, he can be a better passer version of Nick Marshall who was at Auburn in 2013.

Who?
ETA: it's a stupid comparison, JD has already accomplished more than marshall ever did.

I think the comparison is accurate

This is an odd comparison. He was better than Nick Marshall’s best year at Auburn this year.

Is this high praise? Serious question, was Marshall particularly good?

He could be lamar jackson if he improves

That’s a clown comparison. Daniels is already a better pure QB than Marshall ever was

Funny, that’s EXACTLY who I compared him to and got roasted.
An untenable playing style that was so unorthodox it made Saban’s defense malfunction.

Are you serious?
He got Auburn to the national title game.
He ran the Mahlzan offense to perfection
They lost here but Freak Johnson and Christian Lacature had to be helped off the field at the end of the game because Auburn kept pounding the ball

The second half of the 2013 Auburn game is where it started to click for Auburn’s offense that year.

Losses to Mett and Jameis - you know, actual quarterbacks.

Marshall threw for nearly 450 vs Alabama, JD couldn’t do that in his dreams.

Oh, so college quarterbacks are only judged in games against future NFL starting QBs? Seems like a weird way to judge them.

Because it's a dumb comparison. They don't even run similar offenses. And Jayden is a better athlete and passer.

The guy played in a national title game. Any comparison that shows another QB positively or doesn’t suck JD off is dismissed by people like you. That’s what’s weird.

Lmao, he isn’t a better athlete nor is he a more efficient passer.

Who in the actual EFF cares about that? Don’t want no Nick Marshall 2.0.
